Cannot connect to data center on new system

Hi,

Got a new system and installed FFXIV.
So can log in, than get a question to calibrate a controller which i do not have as it is running on PC. So i skip that.

Get to the stormblood background and press start at which point i get the question to connect to a data center. Since i only have 1 character simple answer, go to european center CHAOS.

Normally this would than continue into the character selection screen where i can select my character and start playing. However during this connecting, i just end up with a black screen and turning wheel as if it is trying to connect waiting for a answer from the data center.

On old PC, it just works fine but on new one it just doesn't want to go through to character selection.

Seems to be resolved.
Had downloaded windows media feature packs but apparently weren't the most recent versions of that.
Downloaded the OCtober 2018 from MS @:

Getting onto the character selection screen now and can also now connect to other data centers on which i dont have characters
