its not stoping you from playing the gameWith all due respect, you cannot compare housing to the golden saucer, that's a designed lottery, designed specifically around minimizing the number of winners. A raffle system in housing wouldn't be bad at all, there's no inherent scarcity to uphold. You'd keep the current limits in place (lvl 50, 1 per character, ect), but rather than an arbitrary hidden timer you purchase a 'ticket' and then the gil is earmarked for 24-48 hours and then if you don't win, the gil is returned and you try again. Sure RNG is frustrating but so is standing around a placard for twelve hours alongside fifteen others as they spam a placard only for a random stranger walking buy to get the plot. Whilst other try to trade block you from buying the property. It stops people from actually being able to play the game they pay for.
you are choosing to not play the game for something ment for roleplayers which honestly is playing the game for them.
Just buy an apartment if not a roleplayer a apartment should be good enough for you lol
