Housing Issues

Thanks to being forced to move servers, we cannot acquire a house now on the new server. This means we have inventories full of equipment for a house which we cannot purchase. The game is now unplayable until we find a house to offload all of this stuff too. You cannot tell me that in your infinite wisdom when making this decision to force server moves, that you did not anticipate this issue????

You now have players stuck with full inventories and Retainers who can do nothing because of your terrible planning. Add two more wards to each of the major cities on the servers to alleviate this or something. Acting like it is not an issue is BS.

It is impossible for PS4 players to buy a house when PC players are using bots to buy them up. Kick bot users and make it fair or add more wards to alleviate this issue. People who owned houses on their previous server should have gotten priority to buy houses on the new server or been given some kind of guarantee of a house in the new server.

This is poor planning and execution on your part Square Enix and you should be ashamed at this blatant cash grab of a server move. We just want to be able to play again.

I keep seeing people say they were forced to transfer then stating they don't want the game without a house...Who forced you to transfer if your house was that important to you..? Apartments can be used for storage or just for a replacement if you cant manage a new house or just need space while waiting on a timer..

Square Enix forced us to move by turning our server into an RP server and moving the node it was on. Now the years (yes plural) worth of playtime and work that we have accumulated are all for nothing because we get ousted and have no house anymore. The girlfriend has spent months farming specific things to get items to furnish the house and was forced to pack it all up because SQEX decided to screw us over.

She's ready to quit the game altogether because of this nonsense. They could easily alleviate this or have planned it better. I am an IT professional for a fortune 500 and this is the most half baked, unplanned thing I have ever seen from a supposed professional company.

I want to know who at SQEX gets the medical bill for the carpal tunnel when she is done spamming trying to get one of these timer houses.

No one is defending it, it's a garbage system all around.

Yet I don't see anyone in the community coming up with a reasonable alternative that can actually function and isn't pretty much clinically insane.

Why is 95% of your housing stuff outdoor stuff? Where you you putting all of it to begin with?

No one is actually making you move. You're moving because YOU don't want to be on the server you are currently on (RP is on every server--I'm guessing you're on Faerie, which will probably be the new RP server for Aether but it kind of already was, imo. Thats my home server). Housing was never transferable. Ever. However in this instance SE is giving you full plot value plus extra for the housing permit if you move. The storage issue sucks but if you don't want to deal with that, don't move. You can literally hang out on any other server, do duties, craft, gather etc. Even use FC chat. This is your time to vent and I respect it but SE can't be held accountable for the fact that you dont like where you live anymore. Just saying.

This is false, just because its on the same data center as unofficial rp servers, you make it seem like people who rp only play the game to do so. They also do content, quite regularly. You leaving and transferring was your own choice, nobody else's, don't push the blame on Square... as much as I hate to defend their choice, it want their fault you left your house.
