Dev Requests Housing Timers

They really need to change this system, I just finished camping for 10 hours and lost the plot to someone who was there for 2 hours, don't get me wrong I am not angry at the person for winning it, my grievance is that the time people have spent waiting was all for nothing. In a game where your designed to grind for rewards, sitting for multiple hours on the same spot and not getting anything just doesn't fit right. Surely Square can see that people are getting frustrated with this system.

On the other hand I think if they made housing available for everyone it would kind of lose its value in a way, they had to know the way they designed these internal timers would upset a lot of people, they have to know that people will actually wait it out to get that house. For a game that tries to accommodate everyone and promote a good social environment (Eg. no PvP Ganking, Damage meters), I think they failed very hard with housing. That was the first time I have done that and I can only imagine people that have tried multiple times waiting for a chance at a property, if you have then let me know how long you waited for!

In the end it just didn't sit right with me so I have decided to cancel my account. I hope Square does something to fix this and hope for everyone else trying that they get their house in game : )

Would rather they just fix the overall problem which is not enough housing for everyone. I can think of six other MMORPGs off the top of my head that managed to provide every single player with the option to own a house. What's SE's excuse?

The initial problem was that they open the previously FC only Wards for personal housing.


Previously the wards were FC only, and they were much more expensive.

The devs went on record saying that personal housing would be a different system and it would be cheaper...



Instead of creating another system, like the apartments we now have, they instead just let players by FC Wards for personal housing.

I suspect we would be in a better place if they had made the apartments way back then.
