So I'm a bit frustrated as the other day I purchased the game for 60 bucks and had to spend about an hour figuring out how to log in and actually buy it and play it. The whole store front and logging in from a trial to a non trial via square enix almost made me entirely give up. I finally got to play 2 days ago for a couple hours before going to bed after I had to completely redownload the game from my trial version to regular version (that made no sense why they decided to work trials like that). I got off work yesterday and went to play again and sure enough it was down for maint. So today me and my friend from work, whom also had to go through the same experience as I did, decided to sit down and play once again after work and the game is down again.

What I'm wondering is, is the game worth all this effort to play if I can't even play the game it seems. It feels like everything is a work around and both me and my friend agree that no other mmo has made you jump through so much just to get into the game. I've played every mmo on the market, saving this game for last because I heard it was a pain to get started, and I'm kind of shocked at how terrible my initial experience with the game has been so far.

Does it get better? Are these down times common? I've been playing final fantasy since I was a child, 20 years ago, but all this hassle is frustrating.
