Quick Question about Recruit a Friend

Hi guys, I was looking at the Recruit a Friend stuff and figured why not. I had a question about it.

Do I have to redeem someone else's code to get the items? I know I can give my code to someone or post it somewhere and they can redeem it, does that give me credit too, or only after I redeem their code in exchange?

Hello

If I recall right, you don't have to enter any code. Your invited friend enters your code and it's done.

When you are the recruiter, you will gain 5 gold chocobo feathers, and a ballroom etiquette with the fist pump emote. You also gain 5 more gold feathers each time you invite a new friend (up to 5).
Depending on your friend's subscription time, you will get more rewards, like a Friendship Circlet or a chocobo mount for two.

Your -invited- friend will get the friendship circle too (it boosts exp rewards), the emote and 10 silver chocobo feathers.

So all that to say by inviting a friend, you will get rewards and they will too. They're just different rewards, the recruiter gaining better ones to be honest lol

Thanks for the info, I was really confused about if I would get anything if I send my code out there and did not get one back.

When they will input your code, you should receive your rewards via mog mail. So don't worry, you don't have to do anything but give them your code

Yeah, you dont have to be recruited. You can just refer other people and get those bonus items. With that said, as long as you arent on a paid subscription yet you still can add someone elses recruit code if you want to get the other set of items too. The one referring gets better stuff, but if you want both you can get both.

So random followup, my friend redeemed my code but I noticed I still generate one every 3 hours. Does this mean I can keep putting them out there ala this forum or my other friends? Or is it considered over and done with for my account after one person does it?

You can recruit more than one friend. You will get rewards for up to five friends. I do not know if you can recruit even more than that.
The rewards for how long your friend has been subscribed is only given out for the friend with the longest subscription time.

you can recruit more than 5 friends you just won't receive any more feathers for it.
