To be expected. SE is inadvertently encouraging botting to get these houses. If it can take up to 24 hours for a house to unlock, some people who really really really want a house can't be there for a whole 24 hours so they revert to botting.

without a doubt. more than that, very few human beings are able to stay clicking for 24h. But that does not excuse botting. Although sad that I didn't get it, I am happy that the person who got it was not a bot. She's cheering as soon as she got it, with good reason.

That is true. For now I gave up on getting a house - I have better things to do than camp housing. A Lotto system would be a temporary fix for that, but not solve the underlying problem.

But on a side note - it seems like about half the houses I look at for decorating ideas are totally empty. Some don't even have the basic Aether. I think that is part of the problem.

The way to fix the lack of housing is to reset an refund every house.. With the new rules of 1 house per account, they should be removing the houses of those that have bought multiple or are controlling entire districts.

Refund all housing costs and send like 3m gil like they're currently offering to all players with houses.. They can then buy a new house once the timers are up and there will be more open options for other players because it's 1 per account instead of an entire instance per one player.

As someone who understood how things worked (reclaimed houses went available at the top of the hour so that was the only time you needed to check) and still spent 3 real life months camping Mist to get a mansion, this would upset me to no end. Maybe make players choose a single house if they have many, but not strip all of us of our houses just to appease the really loud ppl who want one.

This would be the worst thing they could do since many of us home owners are legit about it and the mass house owners are the few.

Just saw a screenshot in another thread of an FC that had an entire housing ward locked up, about 15-20 houses. Betting that most are never used.

Welcome back! I hadn't seen you post anything here for a little bit, and I was just wondering within the last week if you had been banned (especially since you hadn't responded in the thread specifically about you yet).

Now I agree with it. A timer is needed but 24 hrs is too long. Maybe 3-5 hours. That would still keep SEs reasons and be more reasonable for players.

The top end of the timer seems to be 2-3 days (48-72 hours). That's beyond too long. I've been saying for a while the timer needs to max out at about 6 hours. I like your 3-5 hour suggestion even better. :-)

I agree with this! Maybe hire a new GM whose only job is to monitor the housing areas for people claiming housing for the same FC with the 1 or 2 letter differences in the name too

Who hasn't been banned from the forums anyway lol. Earning those 6 digits irl was more important in the past 2 months than telling people on here how they should stop complaining and spend their time achieving what they want instead.

Yes, hire someone to look out for the sub 0.1% of houses that are owned by the same players. Great idea!!!
