    Coming back after years away.

Used to play years ago, never made it to heavensword or beyond. Completed ARR content. Thing is I was wondering how the communities are here. I'm just a casual player and do not want to be bogged down by elitist or toxic people. I know that there are always some but I can not deal with a lot, of hate.

I main healer or BLM mainly in the old days, and will probably go back to my healing ways. I also tend to gather alot, but don't really craft (only jobs not 50 outside new jobs) .

    Welcome back ^^

Over the years I noticed that the type of players you run into can vary significantly and sometimes does not fill stereotypes. There was a time when I thought that players who did PVP were very rude and should always be avoided. Come to find out that some of them were the kindest and most chill players I ever met. I believe that the Primal community is fine. It seems moderately active and there are numerous players at different skill levels and main story progress. There are also higher level players willing to help others in need and interactive FC's welcoming new/returning players. The chance of running into an elitist/toxic player is always there. However, they don't have to be part of your gaming experience and you can just block them. :3

I wish you wonderful adventures and memories during your journey in Eorzea.

The only place where you might meet some people with a short fuse is in extreme primal farms for lv70 or lv80 content since you might not reach the end of Stormblood by the time Shadowbringers comes out. I would recommend trying to find an active FC with a discord to play with so that you can minimize the number of randoms you may run into, but for the most part people are patient and will adapt to what you can do depending on the content you are tackling. Heck, even the old push for people to skip cinematics in story dungeons isn't around anymore since now everyone has to sit through auto-scrolls of the scenes.

Welcome back! I am also a returner from ARR. I read about elitism and toxicity on these forums, but honestly in the dungeon runs I've been pugging so far I haven't encountered it. Even if there's a wipe everyone has seemed relaxed and fun. Don't let the few grumpuses ruin your day or your game .

Edit: And I've read that the Ultros community is very nice. I am on Primal DC, and I am happy there. However, if for some reason you want to change servers, take advantage of the world visiting feature and check some out. You have until May 7th (I think that is the date) to transfer to any server/DC for free.
