Literally sat at a house for 2 hours and and left for 2 min and the house i was waiting for was taken. i dont care if this was to prevent house selling or if the person relocated from another plot. i wasted 2 hours of my life for this and im not subbing to play maybe 8 hours a day just to waist this much time and get nothing from it. Get your shit together Final fantasy.

This system is so broken.

-Have a timer that's visible so people can just show up for the mad rush then got on with their lives. Won't be selling houses still if the rest of the server has a couple hours to show up to contest for the plot.
or
-Give a randomly starting... lets say hour long... 'window' of time that it can open and make this time window visible when it happens. Then if you're gonna camp a plot you'll know its going to open within like an hour at least whenever it shows that its window has started
or
-Put house relocation on the current timer so people with pre-existing houses can't snipe new buyers and you don't have all this goofy 'run around until you have an open plot to relocate it to the one you want' sillyness (the fact that this is a thing just shows how bad this setup is)
or
-Literally anything else. I'm just firing off the first bad ideas that come into my head without considering the consequences, surely the game devs can think up something better

I am not a fan of this system either, had some relocate on me as wel. But even with the whole reloation bit, at least that means another plot opened up somewhere else. That is why they don't place a timer on relocation as it still ends up leaving an open plot. Not a good feeling when it happens to you but what can we do about it really. I have been trying to get a personal for sometime myself as well.

OP while I feel for you, right now is one of the WORST times to attempt to get a house. Most extra server plots were bought up by people looking to get a free 3M gil when the world transfer system came online. Give it a couple weeks to settle down before really complaining. Also, waiting 2h is nothing compared to how long some have waited.

Housing has been in short supply since October of last year, due to auto demolition being suspended due to certain tragic unforeseen events. Since this mornings patch 4.57 auto demolition is back and in place. This means that those owners of houses, that have not been inside them in 45 days, will lose their homes via this system. I think this will free up a few houses for players, but I suggest people keep track of when evictions are expected to occur to have the best chance at buying a plot.

Its just that there has to be a better system. i dont mind having everyone put down gil on the same plot then when its time for the plot to be sold it randomly picks someone to own the plot and refunds the rest. at least that would let me go on with my day and do other things besides house camping. plus the house flipping will still be fixed cause the timer is still in place and the bidders all get a chance at the house without all of them giving up their day for it on top of their gil and real money the spend for the 30 days to play.
