SE can say they don't support Linux all they want, but the economics are simple. If I ain't playing, I ain't paying.

Sounds like that might be the best approach. I been talking with a number of folks on the GitHub Proton project. It seems LibCEF.DLL is not loading which is very much in Square Enix's code base. Somehow they are seeing it on a Non-Mac *nix system and they have a switch or if statement denying the LibCEF.DLL to load. Some of us believe that Square might be playing a "Hate" card on the Linux and Steam Community. So the best way of answering this...Lawyers and cutting the milk off to this Baby Trump wannabe. If they want to play like this, got another boycotting solution....Request Gabe kicks Square Enix off his platform, but this is not going to be fixed anytime soon. This is not a buggy Proton implementation, this is an issue with Square Enix's "hostile" practices in favor of Microsoft and Sony.

Update: They are blocking all Linux users intentionally. It is in there Login scripts are in msHTML and shuffling us as unsupported because they think it smart. There is a technical fix that I will not share here since they could use that information to further "1984" this game. It being discussed on and in all honesty I would suggest canceling your subs till this is fixed or if you are tech savvy just patch wine staging. This game will nowe have a lot of bork reports on ProtonDB I assume. Please abandon this world, the sky is falling for those who are advent supporters of soild and secure operating systems.
