So the Famous WoL is World Hopping...

I love story/lore. I love speculation. So why not a story/lore speculation thread?

Going across the ocean to the Far East is one thing. Judging by the number of Eorzeans in Kugane, it happens all the time.

But world hopping appears to be an extremely rare occurrence. So...

How do you think the first shard's natives are going to react to us?

I'd think they are hostile at first and we have to earn their trust.
Not sure about the people "looking down on their dying world, with nothing in mind but their amusement."

Maybe they won't know where we come from ?
I mean, most of people in Eorzea don't know we are the WoL so most of people in the First Shard won't know who we are, too.

Will there be a parallel Scions of the Seventh Dawn there ? We don't even know "how" we will "hop" into the First Shard.
There are a lot of questions to be answered.

I'd guess with either confusion or normalcy depending on how aware they are of us being "foreigners".

I do like that this is probably the first time an expansion story has been pretty ambiguous in regard to what we're doing. We kinda have a mission, but not really any details for it. The character had at least some vague understanding of what and where places we visited in the previous expansions, but no idea what will be in the world of the First. It's the first time the story has been this shrouded in mystery, and I think it's because of that that I have higher hopes for the story than I have for past expansions.

I dunno.

It's hard to say without knowledge of what exactly we're going to be doing, nor what the social climate is like over on the First.

Like, we know about the Fat Cats living a life of decadence and debauchery whom are unlikely to even acknowledge our presence. But outside that? *Shrugs*

I can imagine that people might not be fond of us, given that by all accounts we "Look like an adventurer" as is often the opener for many a side-quest. Meanwhile, the First is in their current predicament due to the impact of adventurers creating the flood of light.

Though, I'm sure they'll quickly warm to us when we smash some Sin Eaters that are threatening either their home/town/city or some lonely person who was out of their settlement to gather supplies/hunt. You know, our standard "Hello, how do you do?" that consists of casually dispatching a threatening foe and saving the lives of at least 1 betrodden townsfolk.

I'm curious as to if we're going to become a hero for them, or if we're going to be saving them more covertly. Which will likely be predicated on whether the story will be focusing entirely around the Archons and us kind of figuring out what the heck we're supposed to be doing as we go, or if we work alongside any natives at all (Maybe something like an order of Scions of the Seventh Dusk?)

Unless someone is right nearby when we arrive, I doubt they'll react at all. We're just another Hyur/Elezen/Miqote/etc for all they know. We probably won't become well known until we do something "Warrior of Darkness-y".

As for the Scions in the First, I don't think they are "reflections" or anything like that. I'm pretty sure they are the Source's Scions, and the reason their souls are "missing" in the Source is because they were dragged to the First.
