How I read it =)
Anyway! For anybody who doesn't know what an Utsusemi is: FFXIclopedia article of Utsusemi
I must say I find it interesting though! I would be glad to see that in action the day we (might) have the Ninja job.

Exactly, Tezz. Just put a 2min recast on it. There's the 30secs devs were targeting for mob kills and an answer to shadow abuse.
For those asking, "Why do we need Utsusemi when we have Stoneskin?":
I was going to go for the easy answer and bring up that THF never subbed WHM, but I'll try and dig a little deeper. Perhaps it would work, but for what I see, damage completely negated is better than sustaining damage. If grouping/pulling/fighting a dangerous horde of mobs is part of the game, then what sense does it make to punish (damage/threat of death) those simply trying to play?
If you're going to comment, please do yourself a favor and do not bother falling back on "OMG HAHA OP JUST WANTS EZ MODE NO DMG TAKEN WTF THIS GAME IS TOO EZ ALREADY MORON GO PLAY WOW CAN I HAVE YOUR GIL!!!!!!!"

It's also just a nice option for many of the new/abilities they'll have to choose from in the future. Then they have to decide if it's a class or job ability & if it's enhanced by traits or armor at all.Exactly, Tezz. Just put a 2min recast on it. There's the 30secs devs were targeting for mob kills and an answer to shadow abuse.

There's many things they could do, i think they should go for it in the future.
Archer to Bard? There's a club already established for Bard-rage.
Why can't people understand that players /NIN on their melee classes because of tank and enmity issues, hence out of necessity, either of which is not due to the spell or its effects being abused.I'm too jaded from people making me sub nin on DRG and MNK in XI. I think we'll just have to disagree and agree that we have differing points of opinion on where the fault lies. For me its balance, and for you its a community issue.
As far as bard goes, I fraking LOVE having a buffer in my pt, but yea go go thm skills?

New Job Ninja with job specific spell Utsusemi yes please!
Lmao! People so sensetive, must be that time of the month. And FYi I loved nin/blu war/nin nin as a class and shadow tanking. So what there would be another tank keep utsu one class spell. If bard has buffs/debuffs why would it need a shadow spell? It's ninjutsu meaning ninja only.
Call it what you want, I just used Utsusemi for the purposes of clarity and familiarity. I've already mentioned why I think Bard needs shadows.Lmao! Then that's a dif story, your topic says " Utsusemi "
I'm all for Utsusemi coming back.
How I miss nin tanking.
