Please. Even on min ilvl are expert dungeons nowhere near the difficulty of leveling dungeons. I don't even want to start with what you claimed about tank/healer dps and all that other stuff because that would take way to long to point out how wrong you are there.
These threads aren't written to notify the playerbase that someone is leaving, they're meant for SE and devs specifically as direct feedback. There is no other way, and people asking are usually referred back to the forums anyway.
I don't like grinding at all. But I enjoy Eureka because of its open zones, group activity and its a lot more quicker to get its relic than previous style. And all of the stuff that have low drop rate are optional. So not everyone must have them. And this makes them sell for a lot of Gil, which is a good thing to those that don't have gethering/crafting classes to make Gil. I've made tons of Gil from Eureka stuff without having to grind any crafting or gathering class. So if some don't like Eureka and wants the stuff in it, they have another option of leveling up crafters and gatherers. Some people like it, yes. People who enjoy grinding, grinding and RNG. But this is a FF game, not a gacha. People shouldn't grind for 2 years to have a chance at obtaining an emote as the statistics say. Sure, some people are lucky and good for them. But it's just a Korean grind. I'm not a robot, I'm not here to do the same task day in and day out. I expect this game to play more like a RPG and less like a mobile game. Having Eureka is FINE but at least increase the drop rate considerably. Completely removing RNG elements from an MMO is challenging and to date I don't think any studio has been successful at it. I get that, it's a hard mechanic to overcome. But Eureka is just subscription padding and I hope that whatever they come out with next isn't going to be so RNG reliant.
As if someone would really read this or give the information to someone that is really interested why a single player leaves. Lets be realistic for a moment: As long as not a big pile of players leave for the same reason, with pointing out said reason, no one at SE will care for 1 second. Threads like this one here will maybe force a shrug out of the mod and thats all.
Not only that, you also can't have a discussion in detail about each point without ending up derailing the thread. So the majority of the responses would either be agreeing or disagreeing with OP . And these threads don't last long enough to be considered a good source of feedback compared to the threads dedicated for detailed discussion regarding the points OP is talking about. As if someone would really read this or give the information to someone that is really interested why a single player leaves. There isnt any disconnect between the dev's and the playerbase. Go play WoW for a while to see what a real disconnect looks like.Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. Honestly I've been feeling the same way. there seems to be a huge disconnect lately. I love this game still and appreciate what Yoshi and the dev team has done for this game. But it's YoshiP is more interested in other projects right now.
There absolutely is a disconnect when the Dev's general response is "You're not playing it right" and then have to eat humble pie a few months later.
WoW's problem is that Ion Hazzikostas their Game Director is a trained lawyer so you'll never get a straight answer out of him and Josh Allen their Community Manager is just a patronizing jerk (https://twitter.com/devolore/status/1045786554772250625).
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
Yeah especially since the OP is against mogstation items and want devs to waste resources on useless things like make Viera.
If healer balance right now is an issue, and you feel bad for whm and you know that changing the way healing is done would need a fundamental change to the game systems, why would you want another healer in game?
