More housing might become available because of people transferring and houses getting demolished from inactivity.

Bet there is going to be ton open plots on my server. Keep hearing that half my server is going to transfer to another that there raid party will be on. Can see 1+ hour queues becoming coming normal now because of it.

Timer turns back on this maint and leaves off where it was before it stopped so unlikely to see houses available due to timer immediately. However, we are likely to see houses open up due to people transferring to new servers. I'd suggest checking a couple times a day though just in case.

Many EU servers have seen a fair amount of housing become available again now that their free transfer period has ended. The preferred worlds for NA, and possibly some of the standard worlds, should see something similar happen.

Keep in mind this doesn't mean you're going to see it when the servers first come back up. You're going to see it closer to the end of the free transfer period. You'll also see more become available throughout May as auto-demo starts kicking in on those houses owned by players who have quit playing.

As others have stated, tonight's patch will recommence the housing timer, but here is one of the official announcements on it for more information.
