So my boyfriend and I decided to start leveling DPS after getting healers and tanks to lvl 70 (my healers, his tanks mostly). On the last week while doing my leveling I got at least four tanks that ignored their job quests and made Titan/Brayflox Longstop a bigger pain than they should be.
One of them even told me that they "didn't want to play tank and only wanted seals" so they wouldn't do their job quests, and we (the rest of the group) should just play better. This one was a jerk, obviously, but many of the other ones simply... didn't know? I told them they should do their job quests anyway and they said "ok".
Usually these cases are rare but lately I have been AFRAID of popping my leveling and getting a tank that is a gladiator on level 30.

I mean, I know how people can be lazy and not read (I really, really do and tend to stress myself a lot with the lack of willing to get information) but at this point, I wonder if the game is not making clear that job quests are a must? Like, that they're not optional at all? Specially with classes that involve job stones, that seems to be a huge problem.
How can the game improve on telling people how to do stuff that are important to the gameplay? Maybe locking duties unless you do at least your lvl 30 job quest? I don't know how the game should deal with that tbh. I'm just running low on patience with people that don't bother to read things and feeling bad about getting pissed with new players (I don't treat anyone bad because of that, mind you, but I still think OHMYGOD CREATURE WHY DON'T U READ). Maybe that's a game-design problem? Or are people just really lazy and there's nothing you can do because they won't read?
Is there SOMETHING that the game can do?
