What the hell are you talking about? The stances aren't "gendered." aside from the Roes and probably Lala's all of the races hold the weapons similarly. in XI every race and gender held every weapon differently, but asking the devs to do something this massive...

They’re talking about the idle poses one does with weapons. For example, female DRKs stab their Greatsword into the ground, but male DRKs do a Cloud Strife-esque /vpose with it over their shoulder.

The Dragoon alternate pose is different for male and female. Don't know if anything else is.

Most, if not all, of the idle poses are different between the genders, I think. I can’t recall any that are exactly the same.

just make them a different /cpose or a toggle in the character options

like let female dragoons do the kain pose and male dark knights hold their sword in the ground etc

Those poses you are referencing are "iconic" poses from past FF characters. Like Male DRGs are Kain and DRKs are Cloud. But for females DRG is Fang, I think, and DRK is I think Ashe from 12, from when she holds that great sword. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I'd like to have the option to have left handed battle poses for ones that don't have them. Playing WAR always bugs me a bit because it's not how I'd hold an axe if I had one.

Agreed, but I expect Hrothgar will have the same or similar poses.
And luckily my alt I'm changing to Hroth is my WAR!

Crafters and Gatherers need their own stances. They all use the Paladin stance, which is kinda weird since they don't have a shield.

DQX offers this.
Each race has two stances (one for each gender) for each weapon type theres about twelveish.
Each vocation then offers a different stance for each weapon type too with the relics giving different stances.
Achievements as well.
You can mix/match which ones you like in the end including racial ones, as they are all unlockable through different things

I've actually asked for the Kain pose here before x.x I'm hoping for ShB x.x
