I'm in a mood today so I'm gonna be blunt(ish).

I'm tired of seeing people join leveling roulette with crafting gear, extremely low level gear, especially tanks and healers. When I try to talk to them about it, they threaten to report me, even though I'm trying to direct them to being less of a liability to other players.

People who want to go 'freestyle' are, in my opinion, bad for the health of the game. So much so that I've seen a few people quit over multiple instances of having to repeat the first dungeon in the story multiple times because people can not and will not put the appropriate gear on. Last night in pms my friend was discussing how in Tam Tara, the healer was in starter gear, then the next time it was the tank.

Its getting a bit silly, and I'm aware that players have to learn that they need to gear up. How and why this isn't a thing taught to a player as if this was their first MMORPG is beyond me. Though my fix(es) are pretty simple.

Implement Ilvl requirements for all old content - This will make sure that players are aware they need to be gearing up alongside the content.

Block players using gathering gear from entering dungeons - Pretty simple and has the above reasoning as well.

Incentivize gearing up with dungeon rewards - Complete a dungeon and you have a sprout icon? You can grab one piece of dungeon gear as a guaranteed personal drop at the end of the dungeon per day per dungeon. Kinda like how loot works in early Stormblood dungeons. This will be the bait to lure them into gearing up their characters.

I don't really check the forums here, so I'm setting this out here (and probably forgetting it exists.) hoping that it catches the right eye and gets passed along.
