Can we get an environment in character creation with equal lighting around the body?

It's either too blue, too warm, too bright, too much shadows or a poorly lit room, the environments we have is simply "too fancy" and it makes it difficult to determine colours, like "is my hair too blonde/yellow? is my skin tone too bright that it looks like I've got sun deficiency?"

What I'm asking for is achievable in Group Pose if you play about with it by setting the lights chest-level with in a triangle formation, it eliminates face shadows and shows the colours well of my glam and my face, if we could have a similar effect to that in Character creation though, that'd be fantastic.

Agreed. Every time I go to change my hair or something I'm always annoyed at the background options and the lack of a consistent light source.

You can rotate your character with the right mouse button in order to align/misalign yourself with the sun or whatever light source it is in order to get the preferred lightning or see how it changes with reflections.

I have my character brightness turned to max (or whatever that setting is called that adds more like to your character) and I always swap to the different environments and rotate my character around the light source , but still it seems like somehow the lighting in the creator isn’t quite the same as in game, and when I get in game I’ll often still be like ehhh no this is wrong. Maybe I’m just crazy though and way too finicky about colors which is entirely possible.

Which color are you trying to adjust? If it's in the red spectrum, then they are all bad and bleached.
Anyways, I usually rotate my character by 180° in the default screen (blue background) or just rotate until I get the highest brightness possible with no shades at all in the front. That usually gives the best correspondence with the general environment ingame. Be aware that shiny colours will look bad when under the rain.
