[FEEDBACK] Preorder Expansion Oddity

I have issue with preorder:

Please note that the FINAL FANTASY® XIV: SHADOWBRINGERS expansion pack also includes FINAL FANTASY® XIV: HEAVENSWARD & FINAL FANTASY® XIV: STORMBLOOD, which will be provided at release on July 2, 2019.

We get the expansion HEAVENSWARD and STORMBLOOD on the release of SHADOWBRINGERS.

But with the preorder we get early access to SHADOWBRINGERS.

To be granted early access and play the new contents from FINAL FANTASY XIV: Shadowbringers, users need to be playing FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood and have completed certain quests.

Doesn't this make the early access pointless if we have to waited for the codes for HEAVENSWARD and STORMBLOOD?

I have the base game and HEAVENSWARD only.

Please give feedback only what you think about this?

What they mean is that to access the new main scenario content you need to have the earlier expansions already and be up to the point in the main scenario where it will continue into Shadowbringers. There is content in the new expansion that will not require you to be up to date in the storyline to access which early access grants before the expansion's actual launch date: the level cap being raised to 80, the new Jobs GUN and DNC, and the new races, only requiring the new expansion data to be present and registered.

It's written in an odd way but that's what SE really means.

when Early Access launches on June 28th, that's when you'll get access to Stormblood. If you want to play Stormblood NOW you have to buy it NOW. Just preordering 5.0 won't get you anything other than earrings/minion.

So basically if i want to be able to start shadowbringer on release is to pay for stormblood now instead of waiting I guess.

yup you got it. gotta get thru stormblood's msq all the way through the 4.x patch series to be able to start 5.0 right at early access launch.
