Request: Actual Barefoot Appearance For Player Characters

So a friend of mine who doesn't use the forums noticed there was an NPC in the Crystarium during the quest "Welcome to the Future" that was laying down barefoot, and wondered if this could be used for player characters. Currently, if your character appears "barefoot" they're shown wearing sandals, apparently due to some previous design limitations. So the question is this: Who else would like the option to have your characters appear with actually bare barefeet?

I am pretty sure this is one of the most requested glamour options since 2013. I hope they will allow us someday to take off these ugly sandals...

No.. they can just use the foot model of the Moonfire Sandals and simply remove the sandal.

Our characters also float anyway while walking/running over certain terrain, so...

In the end I think they just don't want to do it.

Honestly, floating a couple centimeters off the ground is far less bothersome than the butchery our feet/legs go through when we wear anything with heels or *shudders* the lord's clogs.

From things i can't link or mention on the forums, people being barefoot wouldn't even float that much more than we do now on the ground
So there's really no excuse for the ugly sandals

We should totally have a Barefoot option.
I will agree that I find it silly that NPCs can be barefoot, but Player Avatars can't. Its especially weird for the Hrothgar...like come on...it would at least make sense that a Beast Race would run around Barefoot if they wanted to.

We asked this since ages and the answer from Yoshida was "you are an adventurer you run everywhere so don't hurt your feet and wear some sandals" :s

In FF4 The After Years, the mysterious girl was barefoot. There's the lore justification.

But yeah I think the default should be barefoot, or at least an option, I mean why not? The default sandels are ugly. Besides ones feet do adapt to the ground and some suggest it's superior to shoes on certain terrain. I know a guy who basically never wears shoes, flys cross country and lands his hangglider in random fields without shoes, it's fine if you are acclimated to it. Also various fantasy novels make a point of this specifically, for example Kvothe in the King Killer Chronicals spent a number of years poor and without shoes causing his feet to acclimate.

So it makes sense from a lore perspective, a visual appeal perspective, a realism perspective, as well as an RP perspective, and takes almost no work to implement.
