So I was here the other day with a different error, but I solved it by reinstalling the game entirely.

THIS time, however, is a fresh bug.

I was fighting in the Azim Steppe, specifically the duty where you fight Sadu, and anytime I'd beat her, the game would close with this error:

"An unexpected error has occurred. Exiting FFXIV. 2019-03-14_12:06

It doesn't happen anywhere else, and I've tried removing Stormshade, Textools related mods, and restarting my system. None worked.

It does. I get Fatal Direct X Error 100003d at launch, Direct x 11 doesn't have that error but it does still persist to crash in game.

Could you try change the compatibility mode? Right click on the exe file (Default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn\boot\ffxivboot.exe), right click it and select ‘Properties.’ Select the ‘Compatibility’ tab and select Windows.

If you have not done so already, please try doing a cleanboot. Open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.
