The split might just have killed this game for me

If this game can only be played during the peak hours of the week end is it even worth it to stay subscribed at this point?

It's my first extension, so maybe I'm missing something: do you guys usually unsubscribe at the end of an expansion because of the lack of people playing?

just play alone or wait til SHB trust system. Everything is winding down because other than this last event, everyone is taking breaks to play other games or life in general. Besides, there are still people there just dont play at 3am in the morning and you'll find someone.

Yeah felt the same during HW -> SB phase, the event just showed there many stil playing, just not as active...

Yea end of expansion is usually dead but wait till 5.0 those login cues were horrendous for SB not the mention the world congestion disasters so SE is trying to prepare themselves for that flood again.

They had too there were a lot of disconnections from the German data center when there were a lot of players queuing for 72 groups doing PvP at the same time, just a bit after the last biggest patch.
To not speak last expansion there were problems regarding the instanced story line quests, players could not progress on story line and there were made lines of 600 players to get the instance quest done.

Ragnarok had a flood of recently joined players.

The end of an expansion is generally not the best time for premade party content. Most people are taking a break or wrapping up their casual goals such as leveling, alt gearing, relics or side content they missed out on.

And where should he transfer to? Light is as dead. lol

People take breaks when there is nothing to do anymore. It sucks for new players and players that are returning but there is nothing you can do besides taking a break yourself or endure the long waiting times.

As the others have said, it is the typical content draught as we near the next expansion. Understandable if this is your first mmo, otherwise stop freaking out. This is the time that many players are catching up if still behind a bit, and those who are caught up utilize this time to gear up their alts. Only you can decide if it is worth it to maintain your sub. We can't answer that for you.

He should have looked for FC that does Content he needed, than transferred there, and enjoyed the game for the next 2 month. Instead he is stuck on a dead server with out FC, trying to PUG.

Waiting won't solve his problems, it will just be the same.

Should have used this chance to find a new home.

He can pay for a transfer or create a new character in a more busy server ¯\_(ツ)_/¯... besides his server is not dead.
