I think Nier's involvement makes a lot of sense with ShB *Nier Spoilers*

The more I think about Nier's background, the more I think it's appropriate to include it into ShB. There's two aspects to this: One is that Nier's universe was "created" when Caim, Angelus, and the Queen Beast traveled through a dimensional rift, into the "real world." Caim and Angelus fought and killed the Queenbeast, and they themselves were shot down by Japanese airfighters. It was never explained what caused the rift to happen, but it should be noted that the Watchers also seemed to use a dimensional rift to enter Caim's world.. With frequent dimension hopping present in Drakengard/Nier and FFXIV, it isnt't a stretch to think they could overlap.

The second aspect, and the reason I'm making this post, is that daylight is constant in Nier's universe. This was mentioned in both Nier and Automata, when characters talk about the sun never setting. According to Nier's lore, the apocalyptic events between the Queenbeast's death and the start of Nier 1 caused the world to stop rotating. The dark side of the planet was called "The Night Kingdom." I would guess the reason our character would go to the Nier Universe would be to restore the light there too. We might have to do something to get the earth to rotate again.

This is just speculation on my end, but in Drakengard 3, there was an android character named Accord. She was name-dropped in Automata as a weapons supplier. It's implied she originally came from Nier's world and teleported to Zero's. She's also been to the Night Kingdom to support fighting the machines there. I'm not sure if she's involved in the 24-man story, but it would make a lot of sense if she did. As for why, that's up in the air.

Yes nier is perfect. The other best option is kingdom hearts III(the best title in the series). The darkness and ending of the world is perfect for both IPs. Maybe a KHIII collab next year would work too since they already have SE greatest writer and art director Tetusya Normua helping with the raids. I just gain infinite more trust in yoshi when he explained how much of a genuis he is. Nier or khIII both perfect for this xpac-become darkness itself
