Cobalt Haubergeon/Mythril Haubergeon Sets are Miss-matched

Was not able to find a thread where this would be appropriate to post, nor a thread that addresses this.

This thread's purpose is to address an apparent miss-matching that I had noticed when getting some gear crafted.

This would be the full Cobalt Haubergeon set (Barbut/Hauby/Mitt Gauntlets/Sollerets)

You might notice that the haubergeon and sollerets look a little out of place.

Lets look at the Mythril Haubergeon set now (Barbut/Hauby/Mitt Gauntlets/Sollerets)

Looks pretty good right?

Well... Let's swap out the Mythril haubergeon and sollerets for the Cobalt versions.

Matches much better, doesn't it?

Now.. last but not least; let's reverse it and go with Cobalt Barbut, Mythril Haubergeon, Cobalt Mitt Gauntlets, and the Mythril Sollerets.

Matches MUCH better than the whole Cobalt set together.

What jumps out at me is that the models for the haubergeon and sollerets must have been mixed up at some point. What do you all think?

P.S. Hopefully I successfully hid these images during this post; did not want to flood the thread with gigantic images.

I better rephrase. I too, have seen that they don't match, but regardless, with the new content coming out. The need for craftable gear to be matched up specifically don't ring very loud in the way of players. Also, just because it's all the same type of make in gear, doesn't mean it's meant to be worn all in the same set. There are so many different possibilities to a set of gear, that you can make a set what you want it to be..

Wow, it took me a little while to see it, but yeah, the final screenshot looks like a much better-matching set, even though the actual equip is mismatched.

I don't have a plate-wearing class high enough to have experienced that myself yet, but I can see why that would be kind of annoying. I wonder how it ended up that way?

Anyway, hopefully its not a mistake they keep making with new armor sets in the future...

Edit: Hopefully they someday add an "appearance tab"/reskinning like in Aion so we can equip the armor and weapons with the best stats and still customize them to look like any other armors/weapons of the same type that we choose.

You should take these pictures on something other than a lalafell. I'm having difficulty seeing the problem here and I suspect it's because of your diminutive size.

Yeah, I agree, it was pretty hard to see because you're so tiny heh.

Another thing you could do is use Microsoft Paint to crop the screenshot so it just shows your character and not everything else. That way it shows up bigger on the forums. Example:

I don't have any other characters that I would be able to demonstrate on. The main places of interest to look at would be the shoulders and knees.

your looking at it as a picture..... what you need to do is look at it from the materials
you'll see that they are the right models

do they match no.... but i don't think they were ever ment to a true set

Cool, thanks for the crops; that helps a lot! I can see what you're talking about now, and I agree with you. I don't care enough to look at the materials to check what Cascade just said, but that's a possible reason.
