I don't know if it'll open any time soon, but since you're on goblin, you'll share the same data center as balmung. You'll be able to visit that server. If you're still wanting to transfer to a populated rp server, I think the next best option would be maetus, which will also be on the same data center as balmung.

Don't lose hope. In the week of JP's Fanfest lots of people supposedly said they were quitting/unsubbing over not getting male Vieras for ShB. Server space should open up in the near future, maybe?

Many of those same people are now driving cars.

I suspect it will open soon given there will most likely be quite a few transfers when free transfers open up after the server reorganization. There are many who aren't happy to be moving to Crystal and will be staying with Aether. Just give it a little time given the server transfers are pretty soon, next week I believe.

It's possible, though I don't see it happening anytime soon. The issue is that a lot of people on the server don't actually play the game much at all - they simply log in and stand around in Ul'dah day in, day out. There's literally hundreds of players AFK in cities for days on end until they're forced to log out due to maintenance and as such the server is considered to be 'full' as I believe character creation is tied to the amount of players online at the time.
