Remember the Yokai Watch Crossover event and what was needed to get the last mount...? Yeah... 200K MGP is really NOTHING for a 4 people mount. They are pretty much giving it away.

I doubt your friend just joined the game for that particular event. And the event page was up for a while, the requirements were clearly listed.

The event is not closing tomorrow. Your friend will have enough MGP if he does his regular MGP-related task, without even needing to grind like crazy.

And the fact that many people don't participate in Gold Saucer is probably precisely why this event is used to promote it and encourage people to go there more.

@OP,

I encourage you to grind for the 2mil mount in the gold saucer that isn't a multi person mount. Or even the fenrir mount.
The Hildebrand story goes to the Gold saucer so you'll get there.
Its just a mount.
