about ifrit deaths: They should probably do something about the serious lag that occurs in the arena then. I get a send time of 7 in there about 50% of the time when everywhere else on the server it's almost 10X that.

So yeah, ideally not many raises are needed, but shit happens and they end up being needed anyway. If a situation calls for more raises, somebody is gonna switch to a class to get access to more raises. Same goes for other abilities that you don't have access to on jobs. That's gonna be the the way of things, like it or not.

really with a typical party set up of 1 tank 2 healer and what will be the norm of at least 1 bard you are looking at 6 raises, 2 less then what we currently have. with the tank being able to heal better and whm being able to heal better raise will probably be needed less, so things will probably be fine.

I agree, we'll probably be fine. But, I'm a cynic at heart and like to play devil's advocate. I'm just saying that there could be some legitimate scenarios that could call for classes in a pt over jobs.

I think this is dependent on the person playing the job/class.
