    Eorzean Races, Aging and Maturity

    So, I'm writing a journal for my characters backstory and there's plenty points at which numbers for ages at points are referenced. I then realized that, I have no idea if Miqo'te age and mature like humans do, or if any other race does. And I couldn't recall a reference to anything that specifies and I feel like it's just assumed we, as players, have a general idea of what it is without saying.

    So, just checking with the community if it's ever stated what ages the races are adults officially.

    It's difficult to say. I remember reading that Alphinaud and Alisaie could leave Sharlayan on their own free will at 16 because it was the 'age of wisdom' (or something like that) over there, so maybe it depends on the culture ? But that's just a super wild guess.

    I checked in the Encyclopedia Eorzea that I have, but I did not see anything clear about maturity or anything. They do mention that elezen gain their adult height at around 20 yo but I cannot confirm if this is about maturity or just their height.

    Miqo'tes' looks stop aging at about 20. It's actually in the lore.

    They still age, but their looks remain young.

    Really ? I did not know that ! That explains a lot about F'lhaminn, I always wondered why Minfilia's adoptive mother looked so young lol
