The whole point of jobs seems to be for people to learn to utilize their abilities and work together. I remember someone asking "Why invite a DD who can't raise?" Well..its simple. Don't die, pay attention. The role of a DD should be just that...to deal damage. Simple. Not to raise and watch peoples HP. Also don't take hate from the tank and you'll be fine. If you are concerned that much about raise and are dying that much there is always Raise items from GC.

this would imply a battle system where you could actually do those things and only focus on your specific role in the Party...it has been like this from the beginning of the game(til 1.19)...Tanks tank, DDs deal DMG and healers heal...then it has become this abdomination of a cross class jack of all trades crap, since Ifrit it's all about doing your job while maintaining as much support for ALL other people in your group as possible while maximizing your own survivability...The whole point of jobs seems to be for people to learn to utilize their abilities and work together. Try moogle with just a Tank, DDs and Healers where nobody is doing anything besides his designated role...and see your group wipe in a few seconds at the beginning of phase 2...
The game is supporting this kind of behaviour and as long as content isn't supporting the Tank/DD/Heal thing, then it won't work...A.K.A. no Moogle like fights, cause they ruin the whole purpose of your class. Rather give me shit like Batraal again...that content worked at least...

they need to make the ghost of maat boss fight for shits and giggles and make it job only fight lol.


Basing your PT setup upon how many times you will be able to raise people who have died (aka failed) doesn't sound like a very good idea.
If everyone plays their roles in an encounter well enough there shouldn't be in any need for casting Raise in the first place.
Even if accidents do strikes, if you need to use more then 2-3 raises during a fight on a regular basis, then I'd question that perhaps you have issues with your tactics or setup.

More job abilities = more amount of fun and choice selections.

I said the same thing before. I would have like to have seen 5 class skills drop, and add 10 job skills. By dropping 5 skills and adding 10 new ones it would give the jobs more diversity if they add more jobs per class. There is always the possibility they do this for the second job and not the current ones.

With the job system I feel like Yoshi-P is trying to build a house on a foundation Tanaka built using his own feces instead of concrete.
I just hope we don't have to wait until 2.0 to get the Final Fantasy job feel instead of these abominations of FF jobs. They need to give up on this class/job system and make it the traditional Final Fantasy system.

This is the INTRODUCTION of jobs...5 is plenty fine.
Future job skills will have to be earned in very HARD fashion...and you forget the level cap will not always be at 50.
