How to Advance Speech Bubbles?

I am very new to the game.

Often when I'm in a cutscene with speech bubbles, I sit back, take my hands off the mouse and keypad, and watch. In other games, I typically reach forward and press the space bar as needed to advance. In FFXIV, that brings up a request to turn it into an automated slideshow, which is -not- what I want. I want to be able to choose when to advance, but the only way I seem to be able to do that is to click the screen with the mouse. I'm looking for a keypress that will accomplish the same thing.

I've looked through the keybinding menus and couldn't find anything. I've asked other players in my FC. I've done a web search. I've tried various keys that might work (esc, tab, enter, arrow keys, space, etc.). Nothing.

Please help: how do I advance to the next speech bubble without using my mouse and without turning on the auto-advance?

It is possible. By default this action is bound to "0" on the numpad (which has to be in numeric mode for the key to register as a "0".)
You can change the keybinding if you wish.
System menu -> Keybind -> "System" tab. The command you want to change is "Confirm"
