Put down the angry red virtual marker and take a few deep breaths. If you're not trolling (which I find increasingly hard to believe) and you are in fact serious, you are doing nothing to help that impression or argue your case.

You don't get a say over what people wear in this game, any more than you get a say over what they wear in public.

Zoom out your camera, stop staring at what your party members are wearing and focus on names, or use the party list as your primary guide to healing (which is probably going to be more effective anyway). Stop focusing on the thing that bothers you, and maybe it will stop bothering you.

(Seriously. In the midst of all this discussion, I got into a trial last night with a male Highlander tank in full bunny gear. I'd forgotten about it before we were 10% into the battle and only remembered about it now, after writing the entire rest of this post. The memory only sticks if you want it to.)

If we're stating our own positions here, I'm a straight female who would pick conservative outfits for both genders, if left to my own tastes in glamour... but it's not my game and we all only get control over our own characters - but the important flipside of that is, nobody else has control of our characters. I'd never put any of mine visibly in a bunny suit, but by the same token I want to be able to use the Shisui set while it's current leveling gear, glamour over it with a robe and long pants, and not give someone else the power to see my character in the skimpy swimwear underneath the glamour. Likewise the Omega sets, or the WHM relic gear that invariably gives us frilly underwear instead of actual pants.

I certainly don't want to have to think about what the de-glamoured set is going to look like when I'm picking my utility leveling gear.

If they ever implemented such a "glamour disabling" option, it's highly unlikely they'd put the work into it to make it function on a character-by-character basis. It would most likely be a single tickbox in the options menu somewhere, and universally turn off glamours for everyone.

And you'll still get someone in fishnet tights and a Namazu head dancing the Manderville in Limsa's aetheryte plaza, just to spite the new rules and demonstrate that you can't stop them from doing it.

Yes it does affect them. It affects the work they may have put into the outfit that offends you. It affects other people who just want their character to be seen in the outfit that they chose, and not have a stranger with the option to turn it off at random.

If you can't know who is using it or when, it just puts a sour note into glamouring as a whole.

Who would have thought that if you post one unremarkable suggestion and one controversial one, it's the controversial one that attracts all the discussion?

What do you want people to say about the aetheryte tickets anyway? There isn't a discussion to be had about it.

"Won't someone please think of the children"... as they play this recommended for ages 15+ game full of violence, weapons, at least two instances of people getting dismembered very-nearly-onscreen, people forced to shoot other people, multiple cases of implied rape, a suicide right in front of our character... and some people wearing pink tights and shoes with bows on them. Yeah, sorry, I don't think the outfits should be the primary concern. Funny how it only became about "minors" after nobody accepted it was about you.

And what do you propose it gets "toggled off" to anyway, if someone is actually wearing the costume and not glamouring it? What happens to all the Gold Saucer staff? Are they in their underwear? Are they in a "non-offensive" version of the costume that the poor minor could innocently decide to wear, and be seen by everyone else in the normal bunny suit?

There isn't one, because the devs would be bombarded by ten times as many random and conflicting "suggestions" as they already receive in other parts of the forum and it would imply they are actively looking for suggestions and are expected to acknowledge them, which they are probably not.

For what it's worth, having been on the official forum for an American game company for a while where the devs were quite active, they said they can't accept fan suggestions for things to put in the game unless it's an official, limited-extent call for submissions (eg. a "design a costume" contest).

I didn't say anything like that they can wear whatever they want I just want to be able to disable what I don't want to see.

Zooming out doesn’t really help out in dungeons, and which a healer you have to look at the tank and others and mobs to see what is going on! And even as a melee dps you are already near the tank so you'll end up seeing them and you can't just avoid looking! But with ranged/caster dps, I can mostly look away and not see stupid ugly glamour!

It was just a suggestion, and if that would be the case I would just turn off all glamour, more like a macro for when I want to see glamour and then If I see something stupid and ugly off they go!

No, it doesn't and it doesn't matter if anyone else really sees the glamour most of the glamour I don't want to see are stupid and ugly anyways! And no one would know if anyone has glamour disabled or not! Most players would still be able to see idiots in stupid and ugly and disgusting glamour!

They are annoying to constantly use! And there could be a setting that could be set by the player where it can auto use Aetheryte Tickets with a set amount like Auto Use Aetheryte Ticket when it cost over 500 if it is lower than the set amount it won't use and you won't keep being asked to use them over and over cause it can get really annoying when working on MSQ and have to Teleport a lot!
I just want to remove that part in the title and start a new topic later

There are other countries where some could be like 12 or something! and 15-17 are still minors.

NPC's wouldn't be affected most don't look stupid and ugly!
I only care about duties that can end up having long wait times. Not Potd, HoH, or outside I can just move away from the idiots! And If anyone is in a duty that isn't using armor they should be kicked cause that is just stupid!

We need a setting to auto use Aetheryte Tickets ~ An amount set by the players like set to 500 Gil if a teleport cost over that amount it will auto-use a ticket!

Please, can you stop? The entire planet is not an Amish parish. Turn on the TV, shirtless hunks. Walk outside, men with exposed chests if the weather is stifling, sometimes not. And let's not forget all the ads for men's apparel. Also, this is a fantasy video game where other people come to have fun. What you're asking for is nonsensical, unfair, and needs to be put to rest for nuisance behavior on your part for the sheer irrationality.

I have nothing more to say on this topic, except that I have no idea what benefit you're gaining from a zoomed-in view as healer.

As far as I'm aware, the party list, overhead HP bars and a clear view of as much of the battlefield as possible tell me everything I need to know when healing.

Zooming in just makes it harder to see what's going on around me.

I don't see how asking for a way to disable glamour I don't want to see is unfair, it would be fairer to do that then have them auto-disable for duties in some way!
And they can still have all the fun they want! I just want to be able to disable glamour I don't want to see! Which stops me from having fun!

I can live with the shirtless idiots it is the idiots in speedos and any glamour similar to that! And this toggle wouldn't stop others from wearing and seeing anything stupid and ugly!

You can't zoom out that far in dungeons there are walls that stop that!

Nice, I was looking at those just the other day and thinking they'd be useful for outfits that needed cloth wristbands. There isn't anything else similar, except the bulkier leather wristbands and cuffs.

The rabbit ears were also critical for a White Rabbit costume I made for my Elezen. The coat and pants are both male-only gear, and I think I had the idea since before - or certainly as soon as - they announced they were making the outfits available to male characters.

Pity about that tiara though. Maybe if he looks serious enough, people won't remark on it.

So yeah. No interest in wearing the bunny suit itself, but there are still other reasons to want it unlocked. A pity it hasn't led to other items being unlocked as well.

So which is it? You need to be zoomed in as a healer to do your job (but why?), or you want to zoom out but can't (except somehow it's okay as a ranged DPS)?

Either you're trolling, or you're genuinely so caught up in a solution to your (relatively-unique) problem that you aren't understanding the consequences of your idea for other people. It would affect others in a negative way, and take away their control over how their character is displayed to you, and give that control to you instead. You do not get to decide whether they should be okay with that. It affects them, even if you don't think it affects them, and saying "too bad, this request is about what I want" doesn't make it more valid. It just makes you sound selfish.

And again, it wouldn't even solve your problem, because they could be wearing something just as bad underneath. Remember that the "speedos" you dread are valid leveling gear throughout ARR, culminating in the horror that is the leopard-print subligar, and then return with Shisui's kohakama. There will be no escape.

I'm zoomed out as far is can zoom out but it isn't enough

There is nothing selfish in asking for a way to disable glamour that I don't want to see I would be better than all glamour disable in duties and anything I see that is stupid and ugly I'll walk away or leave duty! So won't be seeing anything so what would the difference be in being able to disable it.

I know the Shisui's kohakama and never seen them on males or they not as bad as a stupid speedo! And I'll just leave if I have too!

Maybe it could be done another way, have glamour plates but for other players jobs and you can set what you want to see instead. Yeah, this would be better now so even if they have stupid ugly glamour on as armor and not glamoured or even in just their underwear. I wouldn't have to see anything I don't want to! Yeah, this would be better!
