Warning Received for action taken over a month ago.

Hi,

Today I received an account warning:

“3.3 Profanity and Offensive Language. You may not use profanity or any language that a reasonable person would find offensive. The Game is for players aged 16 and older except players who are resident in Germany, Australia or New Zealand where the Game is for players aged 12 and older. You agree to behave accordingly.”

I’ve not said anything beyond Hello for the last month in duties to the best of my knowledge, After some back and forward with the GM's and speaking directly to a GM I found out that this offence happened in the beginning of March and:

"but I would suggest you that if you witness someone with an inappropriate behavior, you need to report this violation to our Game Master services and not answer directly to this player to avoid conflict and use of inappropriate language."

I cannot recall an event like this happening at all and I have no idea what I said, I don't believe I'd would have said anything that would be worth reporting.

If you cannot give the players information of what was said then the whole system is incredibly pointless, I cannot be careful of what led me to getting this warning out any sort of context and more so with over a month of delay in getting this warning.

Basically, you’re telling me "you said something bad over a month ago, but you'll have to figure out yourself what bad thing that might be". I honestly have no clue and worry for the future of my account.

the way the games TOS goes privacy rules trumps you finding out what you may have done to warrant a GM call. just be mindful of what you say in open world chat and dungeons/other duties.

honestly how they do that is a bit shady ... they should at least tell you what "word" got you in trouble .. tbh its a bit scary that the way they do the active punishment/report is completely shady I'm willing to bet to cover up them doing actions over unreasonable and illogical reasons.

Just more proof that SE's customer service is garbage, whether it's the GMs or the STF.

If the offender doesn't know exactly what they did wrong, they can't know to not do it again in the future. Any enforcement system should at least offer that much information, otherwise it becomes heavily biased in favor of the offended over the offenders.

The thing I find odd though is that you didn't even get a caution first, as they'll usually just tell you to not do something before they actually start putting bad marks on your account.
