Bought Shadowbrings in Steam, but Mogstation is not accepting the CD Keys Provided

Finally decided to preorder Shadowbringers and bought the preorder copy in steam, copy and pasted the Standard Edition Content into the Mogstation and it did not work.

Same thing with the Pre-Purchase Bonus Content CD key.

It says "the Entered code is invalid" o.o

Did i just waste 39.99 in Steam? I remember repurchasing the FFXIV client in Steam and the CD keys for Stormblood did not work as well so i had to repurchase a copy at Amazon back last year February.

It does not work. My original game, Heavensward and Stormblood were Amazon.com CD keys. I remember buying the Stormblood Expansion at Steam first but the cd keys did not work so i had to rebuy it at Amazon Digital Code and the Mogstation accepted that one. That was last year February.

There is a Thread on Steam saying FFXIV Steam CD keys does not work with retail CD Keys. So if you started FFXIV with Retail game codes, you can't use steam CD keys for the expansions.

It sucks i completely forgot about that and now i wasted 39.99 on a Preorder for a Shadowbringers expansion that only works if all your CD keys were Steam CD keys.

Maybe you can link your pc and steam account? Might be cheaper to just buy the base game on Steam than to rebuy the expansion for the pc version assuming you can link the accounts.

I own seperate copies of Steam FFXIV games but i cant use it on my account. So now i have 2 sets of FFXIV CD keys, one from Amazon Digital Game Codes which works, and the other set, Steam CD keys which are useless.
