Today i, and i'm sure many many others, yet again felt the unfathomable frustration of the current "hidden random wait time" system, with carpal tunnel and flaring tempers all over the place as plots get relocated to and timers reset, and it's all just... SUCH a mess.
Now, this isn't to say that the current system is all bad or broken - i fully understand the reasons as to why the wait time is random, but i believe that this could be done better.
And that solution, would be to implement a "raffle" system - like rolling for loot, but on the scale of a house. the structure of it would be rather simple - enter the drawing within a certain period (i'd recommend a drawing every two hours or so until an owner is found), and - should you win, you have a set period to pay the purchase fee for the house. this would retain the protection against reselling that the current system has, would induce roughly the same level of fairness as the current system for all competitors, without requiring users to stand by a sign between eight to twenty four hours and clicking on it as if they were trying to force their wrists to leave their bodies.

the benefits of a raffle system over the current would, in short, be:
reduced frustration for users
less time spent
faster circulation time of houses
incentivize fast responses
more fair for all potential buyers
no risk of click-bots ruining it for everyone

what do people think of this suggestion?
I welcome any and all feedback.
