true and true. but there are indeed those out there manipulating the roulette for the sole purpose of just getting a mindlessly easy run. i know this because of seeing a player strip down right in front of my character during the Ready call. it is what prompted me to come make this thread.

sadly, i don't know what could possibly fix this or prevent it. it doesn't seem like there is anyway of actually preventing this. everything i can think of seems to be rather redundant.

i suppose the whole dynamic thing COULD still work, but am unsure how much server resource that would cost. it would basically need to be dynamic based on their currently equipped job. plus keep a record of their highest AIL achieved with that job. at least this way, regardless of what level or job they have, the game can dynamically enforce an AIL requirement for the roulette. naturally, if you are trying to level something then you haven't achieved a high enough AIL for certain content. while their queue into the pool wouldn't change the current situation that is making it less likely for people to get content more relevant to them due to manipulators, they also wouldn't be manipulating the roulette. such player activity would be normal. players purposely manipulating the results isn't a normal way to use the roulette.

i am sure there is a flaw in the idea somewhere... and maybe it isn't entirely worth the effort/time to implement. but i think if the developers could find even the smallest inkling of time, even here & there, then something to that effect would certainly put an end to manipulation of roulette results.
