But you can't proof if you got draged down because the roulette hates you or someone queued directly for this duty included into the roulette you queued for.not even remotely similar. i am talking about people purposely lowering their AIL so the roulette has no choice but to force that player and 23 others in only 1 of 2 Alliance Raids. because they want the quickest or easiest possible run, 23 other players miss out on the possibility of running content that is actually relevant to them.
this is true, but i know for a fact people are doing it. i have seen people come in the Alliance Raid naked and gear back up after entering. ( maybe that isn't proof, but what else could they be naked for? )
i have also recently dropped from a Full Party that was ready to go, because of not wanting the person right in front my character manipulating the results. the player stripped down, and i tried to ask them put the gear back. i didn't get mad at them or anyone else, but also didn't want to queue up for something that is more of a coin toss rather than an actual roulette.
i can understand where a lot of people are coming from in this thread. but is it really right to allow people to manipulate the roulette results? again, this has impact on up to 23 other people. i say up to, because not everyone cares. but surely there must be some people who do care. :/

I don't think too many people are worried about it. Mostly because when it's the roulette, people are fine with whatever results they get from it. Its basically the requirement of the Roulette.this is true, but i know for a fact people are doing it. i have seen people come in the Alliance Raid naked and gear back up after entering. ( maybe that isn't proof, but what else could they be naked for? )

For me, I don't mind it since WoD is my favorite 24 man raid of the older ones, so if someone is dropping their Ilvl because they just don't want the more recent 24 man raids, all power to them. This is especially the case when it comes to Void Ark, since that is probably THE most boring 24 man created.
Honestly, if someone wants to get the newest raid, they will queue for it, because they need the rewards for the week. When it comes to trying for gear needed for their specific slot/job (And not these damn belts..), its just not efficient to try and fish for it through the Alliance Raid Roulette, that just doesn't make sense. Its this reason alone most will not see it as abusing the Alliance Roulette, because it just makes alot more sense to queue up for what you need, and do other things while waiting.
I understand your trying to fight the good fight here OP, and I'm sure someone out there may be feeling the same as you are, but I honestly don't think a large portion of the playerbase mind what they get in a random roulette, even if someone is dropping their Ilvls to get the easier raids. All that matters is the time spend, and the roulette rewards gotten.
That's about as real as I can be.

( or do quotes no longer count towards the character limit? )
yeah, totally understandable. i also wouldn't fish the roulette to get a specific duty. but also don't mind the possibility of getting the most relevant Alliance Raid throughout the normal weekly activity. it is just one less thing to do before the week is over, and people who would manipulate the roulette will potentially eliminate any such possibility.
it is a shame this topic hasn't really hit home anywhere. oh wells

Most people don't consider this to be an actual problem for at least two different reasons:i can understand where a lot of people are coming from in this thread. but is it really right to allow people to manipulate the roulette results? again, this has impact on up to 23 other people. i say up to, because not everyone cares. but surely there must be some people who do care. :/
1) A few people cheesing their ilvl do not prevent the higher-level raids from popping. There has after all always been some people who are only eligible for the lowest level raids for perfectly legit reasons, and that did not stop the other raids from being run.
2) Lots of people actually like when they get one of the easier raids - they only run the roulette for the rewards anyway, so a quick easy run is fine with them.
