Can you even run as a talking fish? I think what you're doing is perfect for your kind and people should expect that!
(People won't understand what i'm talking about once you stop wearing your namazu mask)
You could write a book about all the mechanics players in this game fail at
Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!
It could also be coming in from other mmos. In WoW for example some aoe's will flat out one-shot any single character, but the damage is designed to be spread around. However, some aoes will almost one shot a group of people which means if they are not already healthy they're dead. If they both occur in the same fight (not uncommon) I could have trouble remembering which was which.
Also cannot account for pinball avatars (also me) where I coincidentally end up running towards the same open space someone else was aiming for.
I have to admit, I get confused between the main quest boss fights. I died twice playing a new boss just an hour ago, one of those where you have to group together to share the aoe. They mocked me for running from them to the edge of the map. ^^;One of my biggest pet peeve is when someone constantly drops an AOE on the entire party. Not so much in beginner dungeons but in end-game content like last-boss Monastery etc. It's fine if it happens once but when it happens over and over again and when someone in the chat says "Please don't bring your AOE to the party" and you still continue to do it, why do you still do it? It's probably the very first boss mechanic you learned and you still don't know how it works? I see people running from one corner of the screen going straight to the party with an AOE marker, why?
If you have an AOE marker, bring it to the edge of the universe, don't bring it back to the party and especially don't stack with other players who have it and so help you if you do this on the healers. I don't know if people do it on purpose / as a joke, but you should know better.
If you have a stack marker and only one person is around, don't go stacking on that person knowing perfectly well that nobody else will stack and both of you will die. Instead, kindly die on your own and a healer will resurrect you soon.
"Politics are for kings and lords, talk of wealth for merchants, the rest of us should concern ourselves with the health and wellbeing of one another."
I still see players run off with the aoe stack marker. Seriously, with the amount of fights that have that marker you'd think after 60+ levels they would realize to stop running away from everyone. Looking at you Lakshmi pugs.

I've noticed this alot when playing on BLM. Out of the entire team, players seem to go out of their way to drop on specifically me and only when I'm BLM. XD. It's like people take the whole "BLMs stand in aeos for the sake of dps" thing way to literally. Lol
But more on point, yeah I certainly feel ya. If it happens once, fine, but it really gets under my skin when players with an Aoe move from a safe spot TOWARDS the party for no apparent reason.
Yeah, sorry. Please keep making this forum a complete mess with a ton of completly worthless threads appearing on a daily basis.
I realize that me trying to make it a better place so that people provide useful feedback that is going to be heard and forwarded is pointless. It's far too late.
My bad for ruining your "fun".
Ahaha. Making useless threads is so fun. Ahah. Fun, fun, fun.
... I'm trying my best, don't judge me.
