thats actually 2p in the key art, but yeah id loooove a kaine outfit, i dont see a way though how they could drop universal outfits without pulling something like the aetheryte earring does in having your stats be determined by your job, but the bigger question then is are you more willing to have 1 to 3 universal outfits a tier, or would you rather the current 7 (or more accurately 3-5 with color variations) sets we get every tier now?

side note, theres 6 characters in that key art, one may be behind 2ps head or the 'fend' is the mech, but theres a 2 and a 9 in the back, 2p in the front, who are the other silhouettes?

They could get Nier weapons in via tomestone gear. I really hope they do!

As usual. We used to it, we are outsiders in 99% of cases when it's about glamours. ツ

In LotA tanks were the only ones that could get the Warrior of Light set.
In Rabanastre tanks were the only ones that could get Ramza's squire set.
Even in the later Ivalice raids, though they weren't getting main character glamours, tanks never got a generic class outfit and always got unique character sets (Delita in Ridorana and Agrias in Orbonne)

I've always felt like tanks were the favorites when picking out their gear, and the one reason Striking got a lot of focus and "MC outfit love" in SB was because, well, the Striking classes WERE the main characters of Stormblood, I'm sure with ShB and DRK being the poster boy for the expansion we'll see a lot more love put into tank gear again.
