I have seen people intentionally leave people out of hunts while they are begging to be in, then get mad when they hunt it too. Why? This is the behavior that makes the snipers and bad players. What does it take to include the outsider? Nothing really.

There are parties who actually focus on spawning S ranks. If you sit in a hub and wait for a call out chances are your report was already delayed.

Load times get longer if ppl tele to an S rank and if you are using a old computer your only chance would be to help the ppl that spawn them rather then moving when its spawned

    System is fine as is.

On Goblin, it was a common practice to call it out, throw up PFs and wait 5 minutes for people to get there.

Post patch, the hunt culture cultivated by local players was destroyed almost overnight by people from other servers, who kill A ranks before our local hunt trains can get to them. Nevermind the S ranks that get pulled and die before 2-3 minutes go by of first discovery.

There is definitely a sense of anger because of the cross-server addition... Thanks for unnecessarily removing us from our original data center, SE

I've been playing since patch 3.2 and this has been a common practice in Diabolos (not so much atm, hunting is kinda dead). In all honesty it just depends on who is on. The norm is that either someone will scout the hunts before hand and once they are all found the train will start or a train starts and everyone starts scouting going from one zone to the next. They usually wait a good 2-3mins before pulling the first hunt so ppl can come, sometimes longer depending if ppl are still coming. Every hunt is shouted in order and after every kill so the train always knows where to go next. The train then waits a usual 1-2mins at this point as anyone who actually cared to join the train has already joined. If someone still needs a party or a party is too small a few nice ppl will actual leave their party to form a new party or join the undersized party so all get full credit. This is all for 4.0 hunts, 2.0 and 3.0 hunts specifically
A Ranks aren't as friendly since not may care to do them so usually once called ppl don't wait as long before killing since they it is expected that no many will actually show. S Ranks no matter what level always pull in a crowd but for 2.0 the general idea is first come first serve since they die so fast so landing a hit before it dies can be competitive.

There are snipers and earlier pullers on diabolos but they usually aren't that big of an issue. My biggest advice would be to try and join a few hunt LS so you always know what hunts are up and make a macro hunt shout for all your LSs and the world so more ppl know what hunts are currently being targeted. Let your party know to shout for you that they have someone otw. If Hyperion has enough etiquette then they should be willing to wait till everyone is there. Also if you haven't lower your graphic settings and turn visual effects offs at least for non party members. Your response time should improve.

They need to add something where can block other players not in your party so they don't show up. What good is being at hunt when there invisible because there's like 300 players all in one small space that causes huge lag and fps to drop to single digits.

Think they need to fix there servers so ones don't get disconnected and hunts don't turn invisible on you. This happens to me a lot in hunts where it is about dead then boom your disconnected and then get nothing for helping kill the hunt. They need to think of some kind fix for when there is so many in one area that causes huge lag and disconnects. Hunt train is worst idea ever. Who ever thought having hundreds all together in one small area was good idea is sure wrong.

There are always A-Ranks walking about. Are they truly hunted only once per day?

I recently decided to shout the location of an A-Rank in Il-Mheg. A few people showed up and we asked around in our linkshells if anyone else would like to participate. As we waited, people started to drop off and leave without saying anything. I figured that they lost interest and just continued to do my daily hunts in the area. A few moments later, people started shouting at me to leave the A-Ranks alone and telling me that it's poachers like me that ruin the game experience and that every hunt linkshell was going to do something about it with me. I had no clue what they were talking about until I realized they meant the A-Rank.

I had not done A-Ranks since Storm Blood and it was common then to shout out those A-Ranks when you saw them. It gave people during any time of play to participate. The monsters respawned quick enough that they could be hunted at all times of the day. I later learned from some of my friends that these days, it was frowned upon to do hunts outside of hunt trains. I've done at most 2 A-Ranks in the Shadowbringer zone and 1 in the new Endwalker zones. I find this to be such a shame because the hunt trains only happen during the hours of the day convenient to some of the player base. I've resigned this to be game content that I just won't have access to.

Free hunting is fine. No player has the right to stop you from killing a hunt if you want to. You are not a poacher. Report anyone calling you a poacher (or making other derogatory comments) for harassment.

Trains are running infrequently enough right now that there's no reason for anyone to complain about free hunting. No one from Diabolos has relayed any trains to the data center hunt discord in the last 4 days (and the last couple before that were Endwalker only) so I can't tell if they haven't run one at all or if they're only relaying locally. It's not a big deal if a train only has 10 or 11 instead of all 12. Better that the hunts get killed as found (the way SE has intended it) than for them to be ignored expecting someone else to start a train just to have them despawn so no one benefits at all.

You may want to consider organizing trains yourself. We don't have enough players willing to conduct to keep trains running as frequently as they can be. Most of the conductors in the community are friendly and happy to give tips/advice.

One thing I will add is that if people did show up for the rank A you found then left, you were probably waiting too long to pull. No one is going to wait 10-15 minutes for a single rank A when most of a train could be run in the same amount of time. Once you have a couple of people present, go ahead and pull. Shadowbringers Rank As won't die so fast that others arriving late will miss out (unless they're arriving very late) and they can be solo'd by the right jobs.

I am curious as to why you pulled up a 3 year old thread to make the same complaint that has exiisted for as many years plus? Hunts are not perfect but if you are not a dungeon runner, they are all we have to gear up. I'd suggest modifying your playstyle to fit the masses.

I've played the game for quite a while but this has been my first post. I probably should not have posted anything at all. I was actually interested in looking to see if my experience was truly unique or if what I experienced was common behavior and that I should just put up with it.

For the most part I love the FFXIV player base. Friends who play other games have probably tired of hearing me rave about the people who play this game. By the responses that I've gotten so far from you and others, I stand by this sentiment. The game is wonderful in all of the different activities that are offered and there is plenty for me to do such that in the years that since Stormblood, I've had practically no experience with fighting A-Rank hunts. I am perfectly fine with going back to that.
