Account Shared Housing should be on its way regardless since this was a known issue when they made owning a house one per Account/Server from one per Character/Server which albeit made sense from a reducing the strain on the housing system from Real Estate Brokers, but it was known that there were people with fully played alts that had housing that wouldn't be able to buy with when it happened (Before anyone says anything, I do agree it was the right solution to that problem, I just think they didn't go far enough in the change, maintaining the single character ownership was shortsighted and lazy once they put in the framework to restrict the purchase to account/server). Also when people mentioned Solo-FCs (which I have) its causing me to take up 2 Houses rather than 1 (used to have 4). Once Shared Housing and a Shared Bank are in place I can ditch a house, which is another way of reducing the Housing Ward Burden. I wouldn't be surprised if there is quite a few alt players that own 2 houses like me.
Simple Wishes:
Account Bound House, just default shared by all characters on an Account/Server not tied to the Tenant System.
Shared Bank, at MOST a single tab FC Chest size with the gil space. While I'd like to keep the crystal space, well acceptable losses.
Add Private Rooms to Private Houses, it's a stretch request, I'd like it, but unlike the other 2 it doesn't really change how I play.
Account Based Friends List, this one gets controversial for people who like to "hide" on alts, but it was really handy when it was added to Battle.net.
Also I still have 2 extra retainers even with being able to 100% safely transfer a good 150 items or so at a time.

With the friend list item - I'd like to see that as well. I really dislike clutter in my friend list, and I used to have several friends who had 3+ characters each. Just created a mess, plus it was confusing to keep track of all the alts.Account Shared Housing should be on its way regardless since this was a known issue when they made owning a house one per Account/Server from one per Character/Server which albeit made sense from a reducing the strain on the housing system from Real Estate Brokers, but it was known that there were people with fully played alts that had housing that wouldn't be able to buy with when it happened (Before anyone says anything, I do agree it was the right solution to that problem, I just think they didn't go far enough in the change, maintaining the single character ownership was shortsighted and lazy once they put in the framework to restrict the purchase to account/server). The only thing I would add to this - they really need to add the option to go invisible/offline if you want. I hate the fact that I'm always shown online and people can hunt me down whenever. Sometimes I really just want to log in and do some quiet gaming before I have to leave again.
(I'm down with the other ideas as well)

Honestly since most gear is usable between male and female characters wouldnt it be just easier to have us share retainers between all alts on same world? Its something I would like to see and would also keep the market there for paid retainers if they are being shared by so many chars. What would you all think to shared retainers and having items account bound rather than character bound?
I do agree it needs to be a thing and is a missing QOL feature. As far as I can recall the only reason why account mailing wasn't put in game was because the devs were worried about RMT abusing it.
I have two characters, one on an NA server, and one (formerly) on an EU server to play with my friends who were there. So "never" definitely isn't accurate.
Of course, those friends either quit playing or transferred to different servers during the server split, so I moved my alt to NA side aaand...
Well. Being able to trade things to my alt certainly would've made it easy to consolidate all of my housing items on one character, now that I don't plan to use said alt anymore. :/
I find it extremely irritating as well. You can do everything, yeah, but only as one race. And I make up lots of neat characters! On the other hand, anything that reduces RMT has to be good. It just has drawbacks...
If I could send stuff to my alt I would just use it as storage
There is only two things that reduce RMT. No Trading and No Leveling, as long as either of those things are possible in a game, RMT will exist. The instance you can exchange in-game currency with other players, RMT begins. If you make it just items, then RMT just deals in items, Diablo 2 had a pretty hefty RMT market and gold was beyond worthless, but buying uniques, runes, runewords, etc. everywhere.
If there is any form of leveling outside of about 8 hours, there will be RMT for that.
While Endgame Boss Farming is RMTd, as far as I can tell, it is unsustainable on its own. Pretty much requires real players to sell it in small chunks, or currency/item RMT revenue to support it.
In the end, my point is, rejecting an idea just because it can be used by RMT is a pretty moot point. RMT work got a helluva lot easier with the data-center wide MB sharing, in a bit of time they'll only need to price gil at the data center level, so instead of 30-50 rates, they'll only need around 8 eventually. Players get more balanced pricing everywhere (eventually) in the end because of it tho.
Selling the expansions in all-inclusive bundles helps RMT, selling ARR standalone quite cheap helps RMT, selling level and story skips helps RMT, hell if the cost of gil ever goes over the cost of getting a job lvl skip then selling that gil, boom the make a character buy a dozen + level skips and sell off the gil will be a thing.

Having these options would encourage me to play my alts more often, even just being able to friend them and just send a little something over via moogle, would be nice
