Rava and Veena for Viera as was clear from the Dramaturge lore.
Hrothgar (or at least one clan) seem to have a matriarchal society led by a queen, females being rare.
Also, Hrothgar seem to be the origin of the Gunbreaker job, and Dancers are from Thavnair.

yep. There are also little differences in EN and JP versions (not really anything critical tho).

I'm finding the lore quite interesting truth be told, but yes the equal measures of "the opposite gender exists but are literally never seen in public, ever" explanation for this does seem to kind of rub salt in the wound that we may not get both genders doesn't it?

I dont think so
being rare doesn't mean much to PC

maybe if it said they are just flat out male only and race lives on through reincarnation (similar to galka)

Uhhhm, hard to say.

For example, Japanese version description for Vieras says that males live nomadic life separately of women (comparison to "wood protectors from shadows" in English), which is quite same lore with what Keeper of the Moon males have. The difference for Hrothgars in descriptions is other though, it's about appearance for them (EN has mention that "at least males" look feral, while JP say nothing about it and describe them overall and only says that women are rare).

Actually, it's better to have them in lore as "rarity" because you can make rarity playable, than not having them in lore at all (like... dunno, Ananta, who are strictly female-only). Because "rare" in terms of lore more describes world, than playerbase (we will most likely never see Viera males as NPC even if they will be playable, same as we don't see Moon cat males outside of 2-3 side quests)

*nods* true enough, having a slim possibility is better than no possibility at all, I am honestly guessing that the only make for one and female for the other decision will not stick personally, they know full well how poorly it was taken.. though I wonder about something else over that: since peoples general thought was that having just one gender on each would mean more customization for both if they will also scratch that out in favor of having both genders..

They have said that the more they add the more stress it puts on the system before as a reason for having less options.. >.>;;... *sighs* too many technical issues going around, I'm getting off topic

I doubt they will have more customization, though. They will have unique one, tho. At least with head models for Hrothgars. :think:
