we definitely need more plates we currently only have 10 slots yet we have 16 battle classes 8 crafting and 3 gathering, 10 slots isnt nearly enough to cover 1 glamour per class which should be the minimum slots available
I believe they did mention that they were going to look at improving the glamour dresser.
If I recall correctly, they said they will be adding more glamour plates first, then add more storage space in the dresser itself.
Not sure how much they will be adding though, or exactly when.
At one of the Fests they asked which we would want more, and relied on the whole "whichever gets the loudest applause" method between more plates, more storage or more places to apply the plates. I don't remember for sure which "won". And I don't think they gave any type of time frame on it. It's not listed as part of the ShB package, so probably after that as they are focused on ShB right now.
I really want a function to deposit dyes in the dresser, even if you lose the dye (item) to storage in dresser.
Have to grab from retainers all time is really annoying.
It's been said we'll be getting improvements to the dresser, so that's definitely going to have something happen to it come ShB, we'll probably know in May.
As for having it in the house, someone asked this in another thread so I'll repost what was mentioned there.
"Esssentially housing is loaded up every time someone enters unlike the Inns which are always up and running in each area they are located. It's like when we are in a house but enter a duty, on returning we are loaded up outside of the house, but with the Inn we are still loaded up inside after we come out of the duty. Thus the Inn is a stable medium to use to store information (like the dresser), plus housing can suddenly disappear through things like demolition so that could have side effects on dresser data linked to it or something like that."
Ok but how is the Glamour Dresser not that different from say the Armoire or the Free Company Chest that can also be in Personal housing/Fc company houses."Esssentially housing is loaded up every time someone enters unlike the Inns which are always up and running in each area they are located.
Other then making Plates doesn't seem all that Different then normal Storage like said Armoire, FC Chest and Retainers can't see why it can't be made for Housing
That would be a more believable answer if houses couldn't already hold every other type of storage in the game."Esssentially housing is loaded up every time someone enters unlike the Inns which are always up and running in each area they are located.
Because the Armoire and FC chest don't hold as much information as the glamour dresser, and it's also much more unique to each player. Just think, a player has 200 pieces of varied glamour all dyed different compared to someone else. The armorie is pretty simple, any dyes or spirit bound status is removed for things you put in there and the FC chest is accessible by anyone (in the FC) so it's not so unique. You also cannot put untradable items in the FC chest, and Armoire stuff has a special flag.

I wonder if it's to do with how the glamour dresser has been implemented "late" and made to work with pre-existing systems, rather than designed as part of the system from the start, so perhaps it doesn't integrate with other parts of the game easily.
I also wondered if the furniture piece, being quite complex, is perhaps 'assembled' out of multiple items - which doesn't matter when it's a fixed object at the inn room. So you can't actually get a glamour dresser as a single object to place in the house, but it would actually come as two different items with different parts of the single model.
Just a thought.
