Sorry, I wasn't certain where this was appropriate to ask.
I was curious as to why I can reconnect a controller which has gone to sleep in the many log in screens but not while actually in game.

Probably because the current game engine/interface has so many flaws. I bet it will be solved in 2.0 though, hopefully.
Have you tried playing in windowed mode and try to reconnect (wake up) your controller then? Maybe it will work.
LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
(Marvelous economics IQ test!)
Thanks for the reply.
I do already play in windowed mode, for the time being I use the plug-n-play adapter if I know I may be distracted but the one I have is defective and doesn't always work most the time. Guess I'll have to shell out a few dollars for the wired version of the controller. It just sparked my curiosity though why it can only resync at certain points of the game. Like you said, I'm hoping it's something that can be fixed in the new version! If not, not really a big deal.![]()
It's weird, you can log in and start playing with the controller powered off and then turn it on once in-game and it's fine. But if you afk and your controller powers off, turning it back on doesn't reconnect it to the game.
Small issue for a very small percentage of users, but one I hope the techies will fix soon. In the meantime I'm trying to train myself to connect the USB charger when I go afk so it never powers down, or maybe just NEVER AFK. o.O
In a similar situation with the Microsoft Xbox Wireless Gamepad. Ended up buying a USB power adapter so that I can plug in if I know I'll be stepping away longer than a skip around the corner.
Will unplug the wire for some freedom, but on occasion, have overreached a shoulder button and hit the power eject (How does that even happen), lose grip of the gamepad and it falls to the floor enough to turn it off, and have strangled a snurbble once with the cord of the wireless gamepad (it leaves no traces).
I'm hoping this will be fixed in 2.0. It's a minor inconvenience in town, a fairly big inconvenience if it happens in party play.
