That could be an option in case if we would have two different looking tribes for females. But since their only differences are color palettes, it will be same for males (if we get them).
I don't see the problem. Some of the male could like to train their body.
Clans are not subraces. It was supposed to be small differences made by their way of living.

I mean, I'd like for them to do that. I just don't see them going to that level of effort. However, it'd be pretty cool.
When the game's story becomes self-aware:

"If we did create a male design for the Viera, he would be quite elegant, handsome, and slim. He would look more like the Elezen race, but with bunny ears."
Thanks for that! I was curious to see how recent it was; I'm glad that it was said after the genderlock reveal but the way it was said seemed more as a past tense thought rather than an idea to explore. (ie; "If we had made it, it would just be elezen with bunny ears so we made Hrothgar instead" rather than "If the response is very strong, we may consider adding them. If we do, they would be similar to Elezen." )
「Life is such a fragile thing…」
honestly, if i were to design male viera i would start with bruce lee as the base, not martial arts posing ripped bruce lee where hes constantly flexed (or doing his chicken wing flex that makes him look like a roe) but casual bruce
this is a jungle people were talking about, and one that uses the treetops and lives a very hard life alone, they are going to be lean, light, and have amazing core to upper body strength because bows primarily use your back muscles and the heavier a bow you can handle the more deadly the arrow will be, plus that would help with climbing immensly. id actually make them slightly shorter than the females for nutritional and mass reasons, the females enjoy the plenty and mutual protection that comes with village living and so have more opportunities to stay well fed to the point of encouraging developmental growth (hence why humans now on average are taller than 100 years ago), and jacks enjoy this as well up until the very first years of puberty, so theyd get part of that benefit, but not to the degree the females get (a bit of overlap in male max vs female min works here). as for bishie vs ubermasculine face, why not a mix, just like people some are going to have more feminine features, others will look much more masculine and theres multiple faces to choose from in the char creator. same with how ripped we have a muscle slider, give it a few tweaks in development so those that want a super cut, DEHYDRATED (yes thats how they get that chiselled look, they very precisely dehydrate themselves to shed water weight) can get that look but the standard should be a lightly visible layering of muscle beneath a healthy fat layer
all in all im not broken up about the lack of playable male viera, i just find it a very interesting thing from a design standpoint and im curious how theyd go about it
as for the lalas, theyre not pupilless you just cant see their pupils, they have a protective membrane that works like built in sunglasses (kinda like how when you walk out into the sagolii during heatwave you cant see shit, but they should be able to see just fine), the fangs are still there on sunseekers (not limited to thanalan either) but they are more pronounced in moonkeepers because night hunting is a much more dangerous prospect all around, the roes nose thing is because galka reference same with lalafell/tarutaru nose coloring

Short Viera men lost. Don't do it XIV.
Yoshi P says feedback will be considered.

In his interview with Mr. Happy, he says there might be an official statement on the forums depending on the feedback

my question there is short in what way, short compared to all races or short compared to female viera, do you mean short as in a few feet like au ra, or 'short' as in within a foot of females, be more specific so the developers dont have to guess at what your statement means (especially since it has to be translated and a nonspecific meaning can become even more muddled)
