Dungeon Respawn Glitch

I've been playing for about a month now and everything has been going more or less smoothly, but lately I keep encountering a problem when I go into dungeons and my party wipes in a boss battle: everyone else is able to respawn outside the borders of the boss battlefield but me.

Hitting 'OK' on the prompt to start at the beginning doesn't work at all - there's no response, not even an error sound/message - and I've tried the /return command with the same result or lack thereof.

The only time the prompt to start at the beginning works is when it's a primal boss fight and the primal has already been finished off.

Most of the people I get matched up with in parties are Japanese, so I can't easily communicate the problem to them, and they get understandably frustrated waiting on me to respawn (until eventually the healer just raises me).

Anyone have any experience with this glitch and how to fix it/work around it? I asked a player I know on Twitter and they were at a loss; they'd never heard of this happening.

If im understanding the issue correctly, you need to hold down the respawn button for a couple seconds - not just hitting ok. Its supposed to prevent you from accidently releasing your body during a fight that you could be ressed during. The only time it disables is when an instance is over.
