in game optional tools

So in game i guess tools is the right word ... for it I think we honestly need.

1. basic in game calender to add markers and self panned out/fc plan out stuff


2. gather point memory for each point we have used 1 marker per type so for example Mythril ore would have a marker on the map but so would myth sand forever if we choice to keep it.

3. Macro-change to have a castsequence command
for example push x once for thunder x again for fire etc instead of macros that autocast. This would be really helpful.-- similar to how pvp has combo1-2 for jobs like bard

4. maybe in game voice chat-no idea how we could even set it up but as a ps4 player using discord to chat with fc is a nightmare

5. in game notepad <optional turn off or on>

i share my phone with husband and hardly can hear ppl with it for voice chat on discord personally its a nightmare 2 pick up phone 2 talk 2 guide a fc mate through a scape for example normally ends up with me taking a hit and looking dumb lol



the notepad for memory of what mats i need to collect for my crafting plans total .. keeping up with it right now is a bit annoying and I'm normally off by 10-12 logs or ores.


reason i bring up notepad is to memorize request ppl have for running stuff and doing the math of how much of x i need without bringing up the menu a million times lol


i always try to write out my plans/ math of what i need total before i go out to get it and a notepad in game would save so many trees lol

also you can use the notepad function on your phone too? do you have a tablet you can use?

Hard pass on the voice chat, for a number of reasons:
1) There are free and easy to use tools to accomplish voice chat out there (Discord...) which offer a much better quality than an ingame chat would be able to.
2) Since such tools already exist and are widely used and established, it would be a waste of ressources to develope them again.
3) Voice chat would become mandatory for a lot more content than it already is - with the argument off "If the devs thought we could do this without voice chat, why did they put voice chat in the game?"
4) Harrassment would be a lot more difficult to monitor. Specially for females this would/should/could be a concern.

I'm also pretty sure that this topic has already been adressed by the devs - by saying that they wont implement such a feature because they worry that people who are uncomfortable with voice chats (specially those who are playing an MMO for the first time or women) would feel pressured into using it if it was an official tool and they want to avoid that.

The current macro system leaves much to be desired - would love to see an improved version.

Would also like a text field for RP character info/bio. One of my favorite past-times in MMOs is reading peoples' character bios. Could also be used for other information and recruitment but basically just a paragraph of space for players to put info with a English character limit requirement in mind.

I've never seen an in-game voice chat feature you couldn't opt out of. For that matter, even in MMOs with random parties (like FFXIV or WoW) voice chat is usually just not an option at all. You'd have to have formed the party yourself for that option to even exist.

I see this argument pop up every time someone so much as thinks about in-game voice and it's silly every time. What do you think is going to happen? You're going to join a DF queue, pop into Sastasha, and suddenly three 8-year olds are screeching at you? No. Not what happens. Even in games with built-in voice.

Not seeing this happening as it could/would aid botting. Not to mention you are just asking to have your DPS (or whatever) severely hampered.

you do know macro change would have no differnt effect than what can already be done with normal cast macros right the only differnce is that would be more helpful for normal players

you can already create a autocast macro ... but i love the well this will aid bots bs lol when macros in general do lol

And those are a horrible idea as well. This would be worse though because in addition to not being able to queue spells, you run the risk of throwing your entire rotation off hitting the button too quickly or too slowly.
