So I may have spent considerably more time finding co-ordinated outfits than it actually took me to do the quest...



The Lv70 bard pants also go really well with it.

It was definitely a nice approach getting the shirt at the start of the quest rather than the end!

Unfortunately someone "helpfully" posted the answers to the riddles to Discord before I'd ever got to play the quests, so I never had a chance to try to solve them. I wouldn't have known where to find Gabineaux specifically, but I think I would have remembered that there was a location with that name and at least tried to look there.

Also, I want Jihli's version of the map that she shows us when giving hints - it has all the map lines clearly drawn instead of trying to work out which fuzzy blob equates to which part of town.

I'd also just like to point out one additional point of irony with this quest. In Gridania. Home of the wildwood elezens. And this jacket just looks a little bit absolutely hideous on us. Big wide open neck line to accentuate our most awkward proportions. Even worse than the starter BLU outfit.

I actually think it doesn't look too bad in the end, because the hood seems to make their shoulders look less wide. (But then, I do like the starter BLU outfit as well.)

But the bigger problem was, most elezen names, I just sorta mentally hear [first syllable]blahblahblah. Sorry, lads, but I'm just going to forget all of you anyway, so I don't really want to spend much time thinking about how to pronounce your frou frou name.

Well, it's basically French, so only hearing the first syllable or two is often the proper way to go about it....

The ear wiggle is so ridiculous I've embraced it and now find delight in doing the Hildibrand Mambo with the jacket.

Having gone through it with all my characters now, it's definitely extra ridiculous on male Au Ra. All the others are still in motion when running, but Au Ra's lunging run makes them fling around much harder.

I looked at the rewards, decided it wasn't worth doing.

A lot of seasonal rewards are like that, I guess. Depends how much you care about the thing on offer (glamour, mount, whatever) and whether you think they'll be potentially useful in future.

I'm not sure I'll get a lot of long term use out of the jacket (the spriggan ears still wreck it for me) but the shoes and the male pants should be good utility pieces for me.

The Hatching-tide event site mentions the event is available until Monday, April 22, 2019 at 7:59 a.m. (PDT) / 10:59 a.m. (EDT). However, we announced that the NA data center expansion maintenance will take place beginning 3:00 a.m. (PDT) / 6:00 a.m. (EDT). As such, the event will end when this maintenance begins for those playing on the NA Worlds.

If you haven't done so already, be sure to complete the seasonal event before the maintenance, so you too can obtain the egg-quisitly cute Spriggan outfit!

hi guys - the riddle was really quite fun - but in the german version there was not such a hint where you could come to 1,3,5 - but anyway - luckywise the npc helped you.
I was a bit sad that they didnt bring up another lore story about the 12 archons :S pls bring me more info about the archons next time

The quest was pretty fun - making me think really hard in the process XDD
After learning how the puzzle works, I thought "little did SE know that some players have lore books, they can use that to find the answer (with the help of the NPC hints of course) lol.

The Spriggan outfit is super duper cute that I even adore the default colors! THANK YOU SE!!

Nudging back up as a reminder since this thread got absolutely buried. I enjoyed the puzzle aspect and would have liked to have a couple more. As for the outfit, would love to have a "hood up" version at some point.

Agreed, event should be extended. It should never have be schedule to end on a maintenance date to being with. That was poor planning on SE's part, despite the friendly reminder, which not everyone will see.
