Main Scenario Roulette streamlining suggestion

I can't say I disagree with making it so the scenes can't be skipped; there's a lot of story in those two duties.
But gods does it take forever.
Why not utilize functions currently in the code to allow the party to progress as a unit? We have a ready checker that say "everyone has ___ seconds to respond, and if everyone responds before the timer expires, the ready check concludes quicker." It should be simple enough to use this with two simple tweaks to the functionality.

1.) Allow everyone to click to progress their cutscene. But the cutscene doesn't progress until all party members have clicked, or a timer expires. This keeps the timers as they are, but allows people who read quickly or those on short messages to advance faster.

2.) Return the "Skip Cutscene" function, but not as an actual cutscene skip. It should simply auto-flags you as clicking 0.1 seconds into any message for the advancement. This lets the people in a rush choose the fastest possible route without taking away from anyone else.

To accommodate the worry of bashing people who are taking the time to read, the scene would still end at the same time for everyone; the party list wouldn't be visible to see who's still in the cutscene.
This would only possibly shorten the roulettes while taking away nothing from the current allotted time to watch a scene.

If everyone skips the cutscenes then any daily reward should also be forfeited (or greatly reduced) as well, seeing as only new players have a reason to run the two duties (to progress the story) unlike other players who are in it just for the bonus and/or exp. 30-40mins spent in the duty is rewarded for a reason.

Well maybe they could make it different than normal votes so that all players need to vote "skip" unanimously. All 8 of them, or however many players are in the party.

then the players that look new would simply be kicked out. Square Enix has already made their intentions clear, this roulette is so the new players can experience the story. If you haven't got time or patience to do the full run, don't queue is their official stance IIRC. We used to have a way to skip cutscenes and they were specifically made unskippable because of people harassing newbies to either skip and watch at an inn, or miss the fights themselves. They're not going to backtrack on that.

When they made cutscenes unskippable, they increased the EXP and tome rewards to account for the extra time spent.
If everyone vote-skips all the cutscenes, they're getting rewarded for 40 mins of play time, but it only took 20.

Could easily lead to PF or FC runs where everyone agrees to vote-skip for the rewards, and they'll have to end up nerfing the rewards back to what they used to be.
This would mean a non-skipped run with a newbie wouldn't be worth it, and then the roulette would fail to do it's job as only premade PFs would run it, while newbies sat in the queue for ages waiting for only other newbies to join.

In all seriousness, they want the EXP it gives. But then can't resist complaining about the unskippable cutscenes.
