Thread: Error 90002 and 2002 Start in 5.4. form 2pm

Good day. From 5.4. 2pm i get 90002 erorr and sometime after dc i get 2002 error after attempt to log back into game. 6.4 and 7.4 troubles more frequent sometime few minut after i start game and log in. Today i talk with my IPS call center and no obviously problem on their side of internet (still they have more detailed look to my problem). I tried ping and tracert, only some packet loss in trase (from 30packet 1 to 4 packet loss). I tried run game as administrator, reset my router and end all program that run on background (firefox, discord). Still get 90002 and sometime also 2002. Here is tracert log.

Do you recall anything changing on your PC or Home network that coincides with this?

It looks like the route you are taking is a bit unstable. You are dropping packets in a few places and the response time varies. Although, I can't tell for certain whether this is causing the disconnections.

There are a few things I'd like to suggest just to strengthen your home network connection:

1) The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
- Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
- Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
- Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
- Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
- Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
- Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.

2) Make sure your anti-virus/firewall has the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV (you can temporarily disable them while you try to connect as well).

3) Make sure to use a wired Ethernet connection as opposed to wireless

4) Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that they have been opened:

Your ISP can open these ports for you.

Yes i check antivir and firewall, both ok, turn them off still get dc, check IE setting all ok, send port for game to my IPS, if they open. 8.4 i get dc from server 17:35, 18:35 and after start at 21:00 i get dc 21:30. 9.4 i start at 11:00 and get dc 11:30, 12:31, 13:32, 14:32, 15:32 and 16:32 after that i get phone talk with technic from my IPS and start playing 17:05, get dc 17:57 and 18:57 after pause i start playing 20:12 and get dc at 20:57. Today is first day without dc, first start playing 8:14 and end 9:14 no dc, start playing again at 14:11 and no dc, end playing at 18:53. Today again phone talk with technic from my IPS around 16:05, they find no problem at they internet infrastructure. We get latest firmware for my modem, change setting to my network card, and still got dc. Today i read that there was trouble with server equipment that can dc people from servers. Maybe this is what cause my trouble too? Next day is planing another phone talk with technic from my IPS and if nothing happened, then problem is "solved". Will post if they find something or another dc occur.

Ok problem somehow solved. I or my IPS technic don't know what cause this four day dc problem, after 10.4 no dc or any other error, i run ping on backround and some time i see error on ping, usually 1 from 30-50ping attempt, ping is usually no hinger that 30ms, but sometime get higher that 100ms. After 11.4 i cannot tracert to server directly, last hop is 195.82.50.234 and not 195.82.50.54 i take that this is guard to DDOS attack? I hope that next time i get this problem, SE and my IPS cand find what cause this trouble.

Probably ddos attacks AGAIN but I'll go ahead and blame comcast AGAIN...

Ok i get dc 14 and 15.4 after this until today no problem, today first dc at 12:59, if one hour pattern occur, what SE do? Here is fresh trace route.
