(Savage) People give up way too easily...

So, I start a [Loot][Duty complete] for o11s. It takes about 30-40 minutes to fill.

First pull, the party wipes in about 3 minutes because someone was misplaced, sometimes happens, that's okay we'll go again and do it ri.....

    [Light Party]

-_- Half the party leaves. Okay... I guess I'll wait another 30-40 minutes. Party fills up again. Okay, let's go.

First pull, the run was a bit rough, and we wiped, but we got past panto 2 and if we just do a few more pulls, we'll definitely clear... right?

    [Light Party]

    fffffffff...

Some people don't understand that, sometimes you gotta keep pushing forward to complete something that's supposed to be hard. If you expect to clear o11s on the first pull, in a pug group, you are going to be completely disappointed.

Guys, please continue pulls. At least give it 30 minutes of your time. Unless someone is completely clueless or is the sole reason you keep wiping, you should never leave after the initial few pulls. Get a few in so everyone acclimates to the pug.

Otherwise, just don't do o11s. You're wasting not only your time, but everyone else's time.

I've seen people do this in Normal Raid Roulette.

Like, oh I'm sorry, did all 8 of us not remember how to perfectly execute this 3-year old fight on the first try?

I hate people. People are the worst.

People will quit any duty that isn't a light party dungeon if they wipe. It's funny because they claim to be super hardcore Professional Players but give up as soon as they fail once. It's amazing that they get anything done.

If really they are, I guess they will do that content with their static, not pug. Too much people "buying" savage gear to boast then skills they don't have.

It honestly depends on what the wipe is to, and how many times it happens. I give parties advertised as [Loot][Duty Complete] three pulls before I bail. I expect players to know what they’re doing when parties are advertised like that, and if it’s 3 wipes to the same mechanic, I can understand the frustration. It’s like when I was doing o8s in PF when they unlocked Sigmascape and kept getting parties that wiped to Second Forsaken every time...

Some players despite them having prior clears are weakest links, but usually it doesn't make a big deal in a group that is able to make up for that weakness (especially with overgearing) whether it's pug or static. When such players then go to join random parties and end up getting matched up with possible other weak links does it then be more apparent that the group may not get very far unless everyone actually knows what they are doing with very few mistakes. If a group wipes early several times, the experienced players often leave because they know if it's a lost cause whilst the weaker ones bail knowing they weren't going to get a simple carry. Well carry probably isn't the correct word as everyone needs to play a part, but you get the idea of what is meant by it.

People give up too easily in all content. I have seen people leave a normal raid after 1 wipe. While I can understand that some want to use their time differently, I reckon this is a price one has to pay to play with randoms. Personaly, what I find worse is when you have alot of newcomers in a new encounter and the veteran players rather leave the group, then tell them the strategy and try the encounter again.

I'm not sure if you're saying these 2 things are the same?

I'm the type to only run with my static because the PUGs often use strats I haven't practiced, so if I do run with PUGs I'll run with a learning/clear party in PF just to warm up. but buying savage gear? Idk how often I've ever seen that.

"Three pulls max or bust" isn't exactly a healthy mindset. Sure, for O11S you will need one pull at max to figure out big fist tethers in case they went sour on first run, but I am more worried about keeping that mindset for O12S as well, at least I did prior to Echo where Ion Efflux could easily kill parties that don't discuss mitigation beforehand. Statics still struggle with it on occasion; PF is basically low quality static building, farm label or not. It WILL take time, either by trial and error or by discussing things BEYOND macro basics.

It's reasonable and most parties only disband when you wipe to stuff like for example before panto 2 in 11s but if you guys are making it past panto 2 consistently I can see that rule being foregone.
